Cameron sure gave a lot of teams’ nightmares in 2013 when the former Cleveland Brown posted up solid numbers, recording 80 receptions on a whopping 117 targets. Through those catches, Cameron posted up a total of 917 receiving yards, seven touchdowns.
Add to that the intagebles on offense and the often undervalued stat of first downs — of which he produced 47 — and Cameron was expected to become a premier tight end in the NFL. After 2013 everything else went downhill and mind you, in 2013
Brian Hoyer was the quarterback for the
Cleveland Browns.
Now I understand you have to build chemistry, but for how long does Jordan Cameron get to use that excuse? Yes Cameron definitely has the size at 6’5, 265 pounds, but at some point, you have to produce right?
It’s a new season now and I am intrigued to see what new head coach Adam Gase can do with not only Ryan Tannehill but also Jordan Cameron to get him out of his despondency. I’m always evoked that when the Dolphins play terribly in preseason to just “relax, calm down, it’s only pre-season”.
At some point that goes out the door because all we Miami Dolphins’ fans have been doing is relaxing and waiting for the light to turn on. It is a new season and whatever happened last season doesn’t matter for the fact that things just aren’t the same as last season. We have a new head coach, new offense, and a new defense. The Miami Dolphins open up the regular season in Seattle and only time will tell whether Adam Gase can turn this ship around.
