Michael Jordan admits being "stupid" in his gambling, but never jeopardized his livelihood or his family, he told CBS' "60 Minutes" in an interview to be broadcast Sunday.

Jordan, who led the Chicago Bulls to six NBA titles in the 1990s, said his gambling is related to his fierce competitiveness. But he realized when he stepped over the line.

"Yeah, I've gotten myself into (gambling) situations where I would not walk away and I've pushed the envelope," Jordan said in the interview.

Whats with 60 minutes lately? Are they the "hip" place to be for ex-athletes now?

Don't worry MJ, Pete Rose was stupid about gambling too.

Does anyone know when Shaq is going to be on 60 Minutes saying how he's sorry for making his rap albums or the movie Kazaam?

an athlete with millions of dollars on end has a gambling problem. Stop the presses!

Seriously, who cares! What next, athletes spend a lot of time strip clubs and pay women to have sex with them!?!!! Let's get an exclusive!

Nobody is perfect.....MJ is probably the greatest baller ever...that doesn't mean that he doesn't have marital problems or issues with gambling, but I don't know why 60 Minutes needs to do a story about this??

he has had the squeeky clean image for years. And now he is going public saying it wasn't and isn't so clean.

Everyone knew MJ had a gambling problem, why is this new news? I even think that his gambling problem was part of the reason why he's father was murdered unfortunately.

and you think that why Finkle. Have you investigated it, is there any proof? It's funny how the killers were found and yet there was no link to them and any gambling at all. You think that because someone in the media sparked that idea but the fact is it's far from the truth!

 That happened near here and I didn't even know it. I wasn't living here at the time though. Still crazy.

You're right I was wrong (wasn't the first or last time that's for sure), I didn't have any information on that case and was just going on speculation that I heard at the time of the death over 13 years ago.

By the way it's nice of you to respond to something I said finally. ;)

Well he has had a clean image, but I know of some dark secrets on him, he is anything but.

A lot of people speculated that this might be a reason for why MJ's pops was killed but at the end of the day it was just a ploy to try to damage MJ's name. MJ's dirt (like him cheating on his wife, his gambling addicition, ect) came out after he was done playing. He did a hell of a job keeping it under wraps while he was still in the public eye. With that said though I can't even front, Jordan's my favorite of all time. What he did on the court was Superman esqe so I use blinders when I discuss him, although I know his pops wasn't killed because of his gambling!
