Jordyn Brooks Slams Dolphins for Poor Performance Versus Packers

The character of a team is determined by its leaders among the players, and unfortunately when your head coach's personality is only slightly different from Pee Wee Herman's, the players who will become leaders will be the ones most like the head coach (i.e., "the team takes on the personality of its coach") and not the tough ones. This is why the tougher players like Brooks are calling out the team like this -- they don't like being mired in a team culture of that nature and losing games because of it.
That's why you have positional coaches. It's their job. If these players don't listen and play poorly this HC has to sit them. I hate hate hate Thursday games.

I saw that they had over 10 missed tackles. That is inexcusable to me. That has something that has seemed to transcend coordinators, from Boyer to Fangio to now Weaver. It says to me it is personnel, and the personnel they choose is not up to snuff.
they had 20 missed tackles, not 10

The players are "listening" to someone only slightly different from Pee Wee Herman. That's the central issue.

What came first? The chicken or the egg? IOW, did Grier draft/ sign what McD wanted or what he thinks what McD should have? When Flor-ass was here we drafted tough players, now we draft smurfs.
It's the GM's job to supply talent. The Flores teams weren't talented enough and now the McDaniel teams aren't talented enough. Furthermore, Grier is the guy that hired both Flores and McD. To scapegoat Grier is kind of hilarious at this point.

So what are we at now.. 3 current and ex players calling the Dolphins soft?

Poyer
Brooks
Elliot

Am I missing any?

I didn't "scapegoat Grier". He is medium to mediocre. It's Grier's job to get the talent the Coach wants, if available. That's Draft, Trades and Free Agents. The cream of the crop is not always available, and affordable. As with the 32 team league, where there is not enough good talent to fill out rosters competently, there are not enough managers to run said franchises. That's why every year some get replaced. Who do you replace Grier with?

Good, I hope players trash the team. The dysfunction and name calling by their own and news people might make Ross see the light.

This is the type of thinking that has allowed a mediocre entity like Grier to be employed by our organization for 20 years now. IMO, it seems that you're minimizing the accountability of the GM in this failure. The coach, system and players are all overseen by the GM. There is a proven track record of underachieving performance through multiple coaching regimes. I'm not sure who else you could get, but you can't do the same thing over and over and expect different results

OK, He's had 2 coaches, the team has improved. I see about 5 GM's that are there consistently, KC, Philly, SF, Balt, & GB. There might be another 6 or 7 that have good teams every 3-4 years, good being making the playoffs sometimes. That's 12 of 32. While I'll acknowledge that the NFL is an "Ole Boy Club", where are you finding fresh talent for GM. You want change but look at the last 3-4 GM's that have just been here. All were dismal failures by your standards(mine too). Specifically how do you address this situation? Look at the Jests! Way worse that us for years. Yea, they made the AFC Championship game a few years back with Sexy Rexy, but that's an exception. BelleCheat was a great GM as long as he had a seventh round QB who became Thor himself. Change for the sake of change itself is often counter productive. Every good player on this roster was found by Grier, we even made the playoffs a couple times. So fire his @$$ and find you a re-tread like TannenBum... I'm addressing a different issue, and that is talent utilization. They need to play tougher, that's on the Coach.

Playoff wins are the basis of improvement. You have 0 playoff wins, therefore you have not improved.
