Josh Johnson anybody? | FinHeaven - Miami Dolphins Forums

Josh Johnson anybody?

i like the kid, but i dont think he's really what we need. I think we should give John Beck a chance (with a competent coach and a better team mind you), to show his stuff, i also dont think we should be developing two young qb's at once, just trying to develop one is hard enough. but i do really like Johnson and wouldnt be unhappy if he drafted him, i just think our needs lie elsewhere.

I for one would be ecstatic if we got Johnson. I think he is exactly what we need. Someone with tremendous upside. A wildcard in the #3 QB slot

I would prefer a guy who played in a pro-style offense

did Josh play in that? his numbers scream Hawaii/Texas Tech

YEAH PICK HIM #100

1 Chris Long De
32 Kenny Phillips S
57 Terrel Thomas Cb

i would rather take a shot on dixon hes the exact same style player except has better mobility and a stronger arm and played in a tough D1 confrence, ohh yeah and was a clear cut for the heisman before his injury

Marshawn Lynch is his cousin this is the conversation between Lynch and our team reporter Chris Brown

MARSHAWN’S COUSIN LOOKS LEGIT: After seeing some tape on San Diego QB Josh Johnson from the East-West Shrine game, the guy can play. And don’t make the mistake of thinking he’s a running QB because he’s got a 4.53 40-time. This guy is a pocket passer, which Marshawn reiterated to me when I spoke to him about his cousin.

“What confused me was when I read these labels on him that he’s a running quarterback,” Lynch told Buffalobills.com. “I’ve never seen Josh run outside the pocket ever. I didn’t get to see him much in college so when they’d tell me he ran for 100 yards, I’d ask, ‘Josh did what? I’ve never seen Josh run before.’ He was always hanging in that pocket. We were balanced in high school. With a quarterback like that and some of the good receivers we had and I’d line up at receiver sometimes and then seven yards deep. We had good balance. But I’ve never known Josh to tuck that ball and run. He’d always sit back there in that pocket because he wants to make the pass.”

Johnson is hopeful that much like Marshawn he can be an inspiration to the kids back at their high school Oakland Tech.

“It’ll show kids growing up in Oakland that they can be someone,” Johnson said. “The last person to really do anything at my high school is Rickey Henderson. Then we had Leon (Powe) make it to the NBA. Then Marshawn made it last year, and I’m going through the process, so it’s just gives people hope that you never know what can happen. You just have to put yourself in the best situation to succeed, and you never know what will happen next.”
