I've always respected Josh's opinions. He doesn't have any bias that I know of, never let's a players hype effect his rankings, and isn't scared one bit to go against the grain. Usually has very good explanation to go with his opinions.

A lot of surprises On this board, what do you guys think?

I already know most people are going to be against this. But his ranking gives me more confidence in it.

I think Ezekiel needs to be in consideration for our 1st pick. His a Le'veon Bell level player, who I think is one of the best running backs I've ever seen. These guys make yards happen, that shouldn't be there.

If we go anything but defense in the 1st, I'd be pretty upset.

If we take a RB in the 1st get ready for an agonizing run under this FO.

Ranking WR Sterling Sheppard and not ranking DB Mac Alexander makes his rankings suspect. They faced each other and Alexander was clearly better.

Interesting rankings. I think he's right on with Billings from Baylor and ranking him so high. I wouldn't be surprised if he is the first DT off the board. Jack as number one is odd considering his injury, but I can see top 10 there.

As to running back, I hope Miami re-signs Miller and maybe take a power back to compete in the later rounds.

Yeah jack being #1 surprises me, but his athletism is what I imagine gets it done for Josh. Dude is crazy explosive. I wonder where he ranked Shaq Thompson, because he's kind of similar in a lot of ways, myles is just much better.

Goff not even breaking top 25 was surprising. I've seen a lot of the guys who cover the draft not so high on him, I'll have to watch more of him to find out why. I'm assuming system and the teams he played have A big part to do with it.

OJ Howard in the top 25. First I've seen him that high but I'm not surprised. His jump will continue well into the draft process.

I don't dislike Miller but i dont think hes the player his stats show him to be, also dont think he is a work horse by any means.

I understand why people wouldnt want to draft a RB this high. But IMO besides a top notch qb, there is no other position that can help a team the way a top notch RB can, maybe WR.

Last year my top pick at our draft spot was Gurley if he was available, 2nd was Parker. I'm happy with Parker, but no one will convince me Gurley doesn't make us a much better team. That's why I like Elliot so much.

Totally in line with your thoughts on the last draft. I wanted Gurley, followed by Parker. While I like Elliot, I wouldn't go that way with #8. I think the talent falls on the defensive side there. Should be a DE or corner that can really help this team.

Glad to see that someone agrees with my opinion of Zeke Elliott. He's one of the better all-around backs I've seen come out of college in some time. He's a fantastic blocker, both in the run and pass game, and gifted runner that can run with power or finesse.

I realize that the RB position has been devalued and largely marginalized, but when there is a really, really good one that can play every down --- it's hard to pass up.

I think Jaylon Smith would've been perfect for our longstanding issues at the Mike but that injury...

This day and age a knee injury like that is something that an athlete is expected to fully recover from. The knee injury won't scare the front office one bit moving forward, the fact that he may be unavailable for 2016 is the only issue they'll consider.

If we're drafting a player recovering from a knee injury then it's gotta be Jack. Better player who will recover sooner.

I think jack is more explosive and athletically gifted.

Dont agree that he's a better player though.

But with there injuries, I'd def take Jack over Jaylon all day. Jaylon getting injured really sucks, took a good option away from us

My personal 2 cents is that Jaylon would've been the best fit for us at mike. But that injury seems pretty bad. Maybe he recovers to the same level but I would deem it too much of a risk with the 8th overall pick. Needs to be a homerun pick.
