I just complained about this in a thread but I think this topic deserves its own thread so here we go:

How can anyone on here say that JT is a cancer, he destroys locker rooms, and all that other BS when he doesnt. Like I said before he was one of our most productive players and before last year caused no problems what so ever.

IMO what he did last year is what most reasonable players would do in his position he wanted to win a ring before he retired and he was on a team that he and WE figured wasnt going anywhere so the only way to accomplish this was to go to a winning team which he did, sort of.

How is that so bad that you all clasify him as a cancer? Cmon people tell me I cant wait to here this.....

He's a selfish player....bitched and moaned about the conversion to linebacker under Saban...where he had his finest season...

He led the revolt in the locker room against Cam Cameron...swooping up anyone that would follow in his footsteps...(Keith Traylor, Vonnie Holliday, etc.) which led to the 1-15 campaign...

Jason Taylor is the FACE of that 1-15 season as much as anybody else is...

He cried like a little ***** when Parcells wouldn't stop working to make time to acknowledge Taylor's royal presence...

He's a one dimensional, skinny little pass rusher that gets his *** handed to him in the running game... a finesse player..

I tried to tell people 3 years ago that Miami would be a better football team without him...they couldn't for the life of them understand how that was possible...

Now they do....

JT is a terrific player (or maybe "was" would be more accurate). But, as a teammate, he has his issues. He is a "me" guy. That is why I believe he would NEVER sign with Miami. It would be too big a blow to his ego.

And its probably for the best. We have moved on.

I agree 100%. The guy was a faithful Dolphin through some pretty crappy years. He has a right to want to go somewhere and win before he retires.

where have i seen you before myke......;)
at the end of the day it sucks to find out that these athletes and so called role models/community leaders are nothing more then human beings, and how many human beings have handled everything perfect in every situation

if bp/ji/ts believe that jt can help this team then there is a chance but i wouldnt hold my breath on him returning

The loyalty I had for JT left the day he said he would trade every player on the Dolphins for Tom Brady. Kidding or not it rubbed me the wrong way.

Taylor's ego was bruised when BP didn't roll out the red the carpet for him and ignored him. We were moving forward and had no time to put him on a pedestal.

What bugged me the most is the lies. He strung us out by saying he would return after his dancing thing ended but it didn't happen. He ran off to Hollywood to rub elbows with actor types. Classless move considering the team was expecting him to keep his word.

JT tarnished his legacy here. He is a me guy in every aspect. There is no way I would want him back.

I wouldn't call him a cancer nor would I take issue with any of his philanthropic community involvements. IMO he will go down in AquaOrange Lore as one of our alltime great defenders. HOWEVER, he made decisions that were not in the best interest of the team. He understandably tried to grab for the brass ring having no idea, or even worse, no faith in our remaining players, nor new FO and coach.

That he ended up with a worse team having bleaker future prospects is both ironic and fitting. Let him come back for the Ring Of Honor Ceremony.. but I'm pretty sure, so long as The Tuna is in charge, JT will register as an ever-shrinking image in our rear view mirror. It's onward and upward.

Ironic how the Dolpins made the playoffs without Jason Taylor or Zach Thomas this year.

I'd have to imagine if we'd had Bill Parcells running things back in 2005 rather than Saban, the Miami Dolphins would've gotten a lot more for them than a combined 2nd and 6th round selection.

If Bill Parcells was runnings the Dolphins since 2005 the Dolphins would be playing the Cardinals on Sunday.

I could only hope. Of all the teams I root for, the Dolphins are the only one I've yet to see make it to their respective sports' championship game.

Didn't he say in an interview this last season he isn't worth 8 million. Or basically, he wasn't worth the contract he has?

Now talks are around that he might be asked to take a paycut. What was his initial response to that again?

It's easy to say the right things when the cameras or recorders are on. It's another thing to actually DO the right thing which isn't

Throw your rookie QB under the bus
Say you would trade the whole team for Brady
Choose dancing and Hollywood over the team
Start a revolt against the head coach

He was classless and pathetic in the end. Great athlete and one of the best for the Phins. But a horrible teammate.

Glad he is gone

Cancer? I dunno ask the guys who revolted against the coaching staff last year. How is that any different then what TO does really? Or is it because he is Jason Taylor that he isn't a cancer and did what anyone would do in his shoes supposedly.

I have said all along, that the reason Zach was released and free to sign with whoever he wanted was because of how he handled himself. Had JT done that, he might have ended up on a better team. Same team. Same front office. The 2 biggest names on the team. Handled 2 completely different ways. And I don't believe that Zach had no trade value. Maybe not quite as much as JT but he had value. That tells me all I need to know. It wasn't BP, it was the players.
