Based on reports from camp, Jason Taylor has been as impressive as anyone.

I think most of us - myself included - tried to temper our hopes when we learned that he'd be returning to Miami, unsure if he'd be the dominant player of old or the old man in Washington.

Has his play in camp - it is only practice - altered your expectations of JT?

No i expected him to be back on top after injuries hampered him in Washington, where he was not comfortable. Also the D does not have to rely on him so watching him in situational roles or pash rushing downs will full embrace his abilities and will not be as tired. Glad he's back.

Roth's mystery/injury has altered my expectations for JT... I had been hoping that he could have limited reps, stay fresh play situational... it was the perfect plan. All that changed with Roth now in civvies... Just goes to show how little depth we have... JT has got to step up and from all accounts it sounds like he is... I hope he can do it for the long haul as Wake is all our depth right now and has yet to really show up so far.

I actually am starting to wonder if Roth will be traded. The understanding of his being out so long under serious ? really makes me wonder.

But I tend to bet on Roth is just taking it easy this year and they are giving reps to JT to see these packages and how JT figures into the big picture.

One guy who could come in and be a good rusher is Walden. He is quietly making his presence known.

Sorry I just don't buy this argument that we have incredible depth at LB... I equate depth at a position by the amount of dropoff between the starters and those behind... I think there is a HUGE dropoff in talent between the starters and the subs... JMO.

I look at our starters... JP, AYODELE, CROWDER and ROTH/JT and the only one behind them who I get a little excited about is Wake... And it is WAY TOOO EARLY for any kind of assessment... But Anderson, Walden, George, Moses, Folsom??? IMHO they are a long ways beneath the starters.
