julian peterson and chris hope?

with the trade of culpepper, the restructure contract of carter and the cutting of frerotte, is it possible that we can sign both peterson and hope? i don't hear that jt or zach restructured yet, what about it, they could give us more salary space cap to get these two or two of those type of guys. i think when we could sign both it would be great for our defense and the draft...

also i hope we sign campbell, he will be a good deep ball weapon for culpepper as in minnesota...
 
We'd be lucky to get one of these players, let alone both. If I had to take my pick I would say hope cuz he is an up and comer and we need help in the secondary badly.
 
I'd be happy if we get Hope and even more happy with Peterson. Hope's the greater need and Peterson would solidify our LB corps.
 
yeah it would be great to see hope here but also peterson, he fits good in our defense scheme but did we have the needed salary cap space? anybody know the new salary cap numbers, how many we have to spend for free agents? what about jt and zach will they restructure?

I disagree. S. Hodge was brought in to see if he can start. At worst provide backup/ST help. We sign JP and he will start & flourish in this scheme.
 
Everybody here seems to be thinkin along the right path, C. Hope to me is a must because if we get him we resign Lance Shulters get either Cromartie or Youbouty in the draft to play along with goodman, daniels, and poole it would greatly solidify our secondary and our defense would be pretty striaght but to think if we also get Peterson and he stays healthy our defense would be sick cuz Peterson would be a beast playin next to Crowder and Zach. P.S. Kelly Campbell would be a nice addition on offense as a deep threat and great on special teams.

I say Huff before Cromartie or Youbouty
 
....I feel like a broken record in these Hope threads. Does anyone here know why the Steelers did not keep Hope besides me? Anyone read up on this stuff at all? His weak play was masked by Polamalu being back there with him. They cut him because he is unintelligent and a poor tackler. Yes he is athletic and has good range. But if he does not have the smarts to digest plays and read offensive alignments, do you want him as a last line of defense? No. If he cannot wrap up when a player is at his level, do you want him on our team? I hope not.
 
We need help at LB. I see Hodge as more of a backup guy, like Spragan is. We could use another starter at LB.
