Jullian Hill With 14 Accepted Penalties?

Hill was a project when we got him... many TEs are.

That said, he's had two bad years and he either takes several steps forward in the preseason, or he gets cut.

Connor has been around even longer and is two-three years older. He's an even longer shot.

But the thing is … it didn’t

He had 9 penalties last year with 6 of them in weeks 1-3 and 4 in week 3.

He then played played more snaps per game and conceded 3 penalties in the remaining 14 games.
I will counter that he made a concerted effort not to hold which led to many, many more missed blocks that caused tackles for a loss. The conclusion: if he doesn't hold, he can't make the block.

Sure … maybe.

But the idea that he conceded penalties every week is not actually true but has become a well established meme.

It's not holding if you don't get caught. Oh...wait. ;-)

The penalties were not the only reason this fan base can't stand this guy. If I were to attempt to make a meme, it would be some ole bull fighting reference. The guy is horrible.

Julian Hill actually had over 850 snaps over the past two seasons.

That does not make me feel at all better about it.

This. I forgot to mention he’s also a terrible blocker.

Have to figure Julian Hill is a bubble guy at tight end. Always the chance he could turn it around. He was promising as a rookie, but now there's more competition too.

I would expect Brown to take over the role of Smythe and I'd be surprised if Conyers doesn't make the 53.

There’s a lot of guys on the roster that show the Dolphins aren’t serious about winning football games. Julian Hill exhibit A.

Really? With his what, 5 snaps a game?

and part of what we traded for ramsey was hunter long, who believe it or not graded out as one of the best blocking tight ends in football, while julian hill was the worst. one more negative value added deal by grier. not a single playoff win with ramsey. a third and hunter long. two years of cap space at least burned (that could have rolled over), disruptive to locker room and culture, and probably basically nothing back for the guy.
