Junior Glymph Making the Team?

First post. :D

I was listening to 560 and they were saying that he had 2 1/2 sacks today (Aug 4). He was all over the field, and even jacked a hand off from Beck to J. Parmelee. The radio personalities were loving him because of his name, naturally. Fins always have awesome names.

I just wanted to know your thoughts. Do you think the LB will make the team? Sounds like this guy is a freak. He went to Carson-Newman. ESPN has him listed at 6-5, 270 but I think the radio said he was at 290. The kid sounds explosive and fun to watch, I hope he continues balling out.

wow that guys a beast. 290 pounds at lb...thats pretty big.
 
I would imagine he has a pretty good shot at making the team. PFT had something about him, per Sparano, but I didn't care enough to read it.
 
A GOOD EFFORT

Sparano said he is pleased with linebacker Junior Glymph's performance.

Glymph looked solid in the scrimmage, pressuring quarterback John Beck several times.

The Dolphins signed Glymph as a free agent in January.

He was in the Cowboys' training camp last year with Sparano before being cut, but again is making a positive impression.

''He's familiar with the system, I think that is able to help him a little bit,'' Sparano said. ``Junior's got a pretty good motor. I know that this guy is a pretty driven guy, pretty hungry to make a team so it's nice to see.''

Here's an excerpt from the Miami Herald that talks about him, I think he has a pretty good shot.
 
Keep in mind that when he got those 2 sacks he was going against our 2nd/3rd team offensive line. He was going against Pro bowlers like Ikechuku Ndukwe, Trey Derilek, Daren Heerspink and the like.

When he does that against Jake Long and Vernon Carey I'll care.

That's true. Sort of like when my friends that are 'skins fans brag about Colt Brennan's performance.

...That's the argument everyone makes, playing against the bench. I care if Glymph makes good plays, even against 'Pro Bowlers', its fun to watch and adds a little hope for the future.

Junio Glymph... I never heard of this kid. Is he a rookie? From FL?

he's a 4th year journeyman from carson-newman. never heard of him before he made our roster either. apparently he's fugging huge. 290 pounds at LB? can anyone remember any LB ever being 290 pounds? i need to see that weight listed somewhere. i thought his listed weight of 270 was damn big.

ive never heard of a 290 LB... I wonder if he totally sucks at DE

maybe parcells is just turning everyone into a DE. who needs LBers in a
3-4 anyways? 'starting in the trenches' has never been so literal.
