I thought he was decent, mixed in with a few bad throws and a boneheaded decision to throw to Hartline.

1. He was 10 of 16 at half; would have been 12 of 16 but for two easy drops. Most throws were on target.

2. Throw to Wallace was BAD, but Wallace's effort was lacking. Still, that ball was uncatchable and that's disappointing.

3. RT did a little better looking off receivers now and then, but still has much room for improvement.

4. Biggest thing I saw consistently lacking was RT not getting the ball out quicker (not anticipating enough). He completed many that I thought could have been longer gains.

5. He has to let go of his security blanket (Hartline)- that INT BH was triple covered while RT had two men wide open at first down marker straight in front of him.

I'd give him a B.

Oh, props to OL and RT in pocket. And RT showed good awareness and strength the one time he was flushed and had a DL hanging on his back to get the pass off.

The INT was bad, really bad. Live and learn though.

I'm gonna give RT the benefit of the doubt on the INT, because I'm not sure I've ever seen him throw such a horrible interception, though last season at Buf to that rookie was pretty bad. I'm guessing he and Hartline have an understanding as to where on a certain play, if the DB has coverage over the top BH sells the route and RT throws to back shoulder similar to what A. Rod has with his receivers. Hartline's made a living off the back shoulder throw the past 2 seasons, and we can all agree that Tanne normally throws a beautiful back shoulder pass. Maybe I'm a homer, just lookin for positives.

Side note: Did anyone else think the O was kinda vanilla while RT was in? Nothing really flashy, but when Moore comes in he gets the green light on a PA bomb.

Definitely.

 :lol2:

The int was bad, but I think he thought Hartline was going to curl in and body up right there. Should have never been thrown in to triple coverage but I think that he expected Hartline to at least be at that spot.

I'm not worried about 1 bad INT. Tannehill doesn't make that many WTF-WERE-YOU-THINKING throws - he really doesn't. Considering how bad the protection was last year, you'd think he would have made more gaffes. All that said, I'm still concerned about the incompletions deep down the field. He must improve here.

Were Gibson and Matthews playing tonight? As bad as the Cowboys defense supposedly is, it seemed like none of the receivers were getting any kind of separation.

Wallace was wide open pretty consistently tonight.

Gibson and Mathews were in. I saw them. Not much it seemed. Bone head int.
I think he was expecting Hartline to be in different position. Still should have not thrown that ball.

3 points at the half against the Cowboys defense. At home. Enough said. Tannehill blew last night.

I also thought Tannehill had a very uneven night. One thing to consider is the imo Laser wanted to see what he had in the running game with Moreno behind various o-line combinations. Smith clearly outplayed Thomas so the starting 5 is settled. Turner is very strong and pushing Colledge for playing time. The throw to Wallace was ugly and not close. WTF???????? The pick on the throw to Hartline was awful. Damien and Damian Williams have to be on the final 53. Both are tough, talented and make plays. The running game took a BIG step forward, the o-line balled so I'm not too worried about Tannehills bad throws. Also, the defense looked very good. I think the coaches saw what they wanted to see and have to be pleases with the many good things they saw. Laser wasn't showing much tonight in the passing game and with our depth and talent at reciever I have to believe the passing game will be a strength especially if we can pass block and run the ball. Other than the horrible pick 6 Matt Moore was the man tonight and led us to a victory. Darkwa looked like a very good runner tonight. Tough decisions coming as we trim to 53. Almost forgot, Taylor looked like crap getting burned by Weeden. It seems that Will Davis is ahead of him as of now.

Its comical to see so many conclusions drawn from a single preseason game. Even the best QB's throw int during preseason.
Brady threw a pick 6 last week and Manning threw one against the Texans the other night.
This is a timing offense and RT, in some instances is going to throw to a spot. The WR and QB have to be on the same page. Thats why these are practicce games.
The offense had several turnovers, but all in all they moved the ball consistently and left points on the field. It was clear from the outset that the focus would be on the running game.
Not concerned about this all.

If this were reg season, RT will tuck an run a lot more - wait and see how Lazor will take the chains off

I think everyone is watch Ryan play a bit half speed while he is thinking full speed

Lazor knows there is zero point in trying to save his legs when he doesn't have a contract - TIME TO UNLEASH RYAN's LEGS

When the D is on it's heals that Ryan might run the pass lanes will widen Ryan will be even deadlier - as the season progresses Ryan will run 6-7 times a game he will make a few third downs with his mind and legs

Right now they are trying to disguise an elaborate banana split as a vanilla cone - not easy to do when you are trying to stay healthy
