Say we do cover 6'3 Owens and speed burner Evans like flies... what about Reed? He was very good as their #2 receiver and now he jumped to #3 with that fast little guy, Parrish as their #4. Hardy is 6'5 and coming off an injury and who knows where he will line up...and then they have Steve Johnson who looked promising for a rookie last year...Then not only is there Lynch..theres Jackson who could be better than Lynch... and then they have Derek Fine who is a promising TE...

I'm guessing TE Pettigrew in the draft?

NOTE TO MIAMI DEFENSE... GET TO EDWARDS FAST OR WE ARE DONE...

Thing is we had the chance to have Lee Evans and yes we passed, so now he plays on a team that we have to play (2) times every year.

Unless we were going to move up about 8-10 spots in the first round of the 2004 draft, we never had a chance at Lee Evans. Buffalo chose him with the 13th overall pick.

Yea thats what I was thinking. I guess we passed on P.Manning to? haha

I'll start to worry when they get an OL. Like I said in the other thread there C is a career back up and they dont even have a LG on there roster

Do you think Ginn could be like Evans this year?
Yes and no. Ginn can be like Evans stat wise but unless the coaches decide to make him the go to receiver, he will not be like Evans.

2008 stats of both receivers
Lee Evans, 63 receptions for 1,017 yards. 16.1 avg. 3tds. 4 receptions of 40+ yards. 46 first down receptions. 1 rush 22 yards

Ted Ginn, 59 receptions for 790 yards. 14.1 avg. 2tds. 4 receptions of 40+ yards. 36 first downs receptions. 5 rushes 73 yards 2tds.

will sort its way out with time, our Wr's will step up
we're rebuilding, not preparing for the SuperBowl in 09

I would be more affraid of their offense if TO was 6'3", 320lb OL. Seriously their oline was horrid and they haven't improved in this area and with their QB's he is going to have to hit his wr's in short routes because they aren't gonig to be able to slow down the pass rush for the deep money balls. TO will kill what the Bills have been trying to do on offense now for last couple of years. This is pure deperation on Jauron's part since he went to the front office and campaigned for TO to come here. Will definately make watching their games more interesting. Which is main reason he is in Buffalo, not to win games but gets fans in their seats. Will be interesting to see TO play in the cold weather there on a weekly basis.

Who cares about Evans and Reed. Once T.O. discovers how bad Edwards is.. they will be more concerned about their locker room than stats.

They are going to force the ball to T.O... because thats the way he likes it. He's on a team that will give him whatever he wants.. Not like Dallas, not like the Eagles, or even SF for that matter.

Evans and Reed can see their numbers drop significantly now. Here's to hoping Crowder absolutely JACKS T.O. in the middle... that would be awesome..

I am not really that worried about the addition of Owens to the Bills. Sure he still is a good receiver but he has a bad case of the drops lately and his overall production has dropped. He is 35 years old, likely will destroy the locker room and he has no one to throw him the ball.

You can't be an all pro receiver when you have no one to throw the ball to you. In my opinion, Evans is still going to be the Bills' best receiver.

Also, don't forget that Lynch likely won't be on the team for the first four games of the year, so there is a chance we only face him once next year. Though if we do play against Lynch twice we should be fine. He had a decent game against us early in the year, but we shut him down the second time we played him.

Even with the addition of Owens, the Bills are still the fourth team in the AFC East. Until they find a real quarterback, they could have all the receivers they want and it wouldn't make a difference.
