The real beauty of all that is while the Jets beat Miami 2 times that season, Miami still won the division with an 11-5 record :)

last year the Jest were 8-3 and again Squandered and choked the season away! Miami saw too that again!

So dont get tooo ****y fellas, you got a rookie whos been thrown to the wolves and finally got a good taste of the real NFL thanks to the Saints. Another game or 2 like that and his tails will be between his legs if not already!

Not only did they start 4-0, they started 6-1.. damn, there a meltdown for ya.

Jest fans will say "this year is different", like they always do.

But come to think of it, they're right.. They will start this year 3-2 instead of 4-1 in 2000.

You guys haven't followed the dolphins long, have you? You were 6-1 in 2002 and finihsed 9-7 missing the playoffs. Not only that but you had an 11 point lead in week 17 in the final mins and blew that.

You were 8-4 in 2003 and missed the playoffs

You were 9-3 in '01 and wound up blowing the division

You were 8-2 in 1999 before finihsing 9-7 and getting humiliated AGAIN in postseason

You were 7-3 in 1998, finihsed 10-6 and we whooped you on a Sunday Night at Miami in dec to take the division away.

1996 you were 3-0, finihsed 8-8.

1995 strated 4-0, finished 9-7 w/ another humiliating playoff defeat

1994 you blew a 21-6 2nd half lead against SD in the div rd.

1993 started 9-2, finished 9-7 losing to the 5-11 Pats w/ a chance to earn a playoff berth in the final week.

What happens in the past is just that....the past, differant teams differant coaches, player etc. The only thing that you could take some stock in would be last year as long as there were not too many personel changes, other than that it don't mean much. Year 2000 and 2003 stats are you serious????? ancient history my friend.

Lol at rainmaker not coming back to this thread after getting completely owned by junc.

I was 12 in 1993. Who cares?

Just giving some folks a history lesson who are crowing about Jet collapses.

Well to be fair we have changed that trend as of late playing better in december than early in the year. take last year as an example, we started 2-4 and finished 11-5 to win the division. the jets on the other hand choked in december last year.
You've started strong this season while we've struggled a lot. could we have a repeat of last year? Jets choking late in the season and dolphins finishing strong and "maybe" making the playoffs, Who knows.
