Just a thought on why Parcells came to Miami instead of Atlanta or any other team...

This is just my opinion, but I think I might know some reasoning behind why Bill wanted the opprutity to be a part of Miami instead of another team. Now, a lot of "experts" think that Bill Belicheck is the best coach of all-time already. Personallyy, I think Don Shula is (even named my dog after him) but do you think BP came here to try and claim that name being the best coach ever? BP gets at least two shots a year at Belicheck and I think BP wants to send a messge that says I'm the best, don't f*** with me.

Just a thought....

It very well could be! but for now Lets hope the pats draft a bust with #7. :up:

Or maybe its just that he has a house in Palm Beach, he likes the ponies, Florida has no state income tax, and Huezinga doesn't interfere.

:lol: Yes, I hope so too, but anyone they pick at #7 I really don't think will be a bust, especially when you look at the Pats drafties when Belicheck has been the Head Coach.
 
No, I don't think Parcells thinks like that. He loves Shula.

I remember Mike Francessa talking once about Parcells, and how Parcells always told him his dream job was coach of the Miami Dolphins, but he had so much respect for Shula that he'd never be able to take the job.

Take it for what it's worth.


And for the umpteenth time, Parcells is not the coach of this team. Why do people keep thinking this way?

I know he's not the coach, but the media and most fans view him as a coach. He's the one that gets the most publicity, he's the one that the media wants to talk to, he's the one that NFL network was all over trying to report about why he chose to go to Miami, many people view him as the coach of this team and he is the man behind the scene.

And okay you said BP has a lot of respect for Shula. experts think that Blicheck is the greatest coach ever. If BP liked Shula, maybe he took this job on behalf of Shula to help make sure that Belicheck isn't regarded as the best coach ever.

i'd say all of that,plus his friendship with Huezinga,and when he finally does retire,he's right there in the SunShine State and doesn't have to go anywhere.
 
Pretty easy to see that he bailed on the Atlanta job at the 11th hour because the situation in Miami seems to be better.

Now I know the Dolphins record last season doesn't seem to support my opinion but the Falcons are in shambles folks.

No doubt their are many variables to why Bill took the Miami job of course.
 
He lives in Florida near the Fins complex. That's why he took the job

Experts think? Isn't that just a matter of opinion and probably exaggerated in this flavor of the month league?

Im sorry thats as far as I got spell check anyone. Please proof read your posts before posting them you can use the Preview Post button. There is nothing more anoying then a post with mispelled words that does not make any sense.

Sorry I am just trying to correct mistakes when I see them. :up:
