Just a thought (Ray Lewis)

The facts:
1. Ray Lewis has made it public he wants to be traded.
2. The Ravens are belived to either cut or trade Jamal Lewis.

The questions:
1. Would you be in favor of the Dolphins trading Ricky Williams for Ray Lewis?
2. What else would need to be included to get this done?


I'm aware that most on this site are not in favor of acquiring Lewis, but a 3-4 with Zach and Ray is tempting. I'm also aware that Ray is very expensive, but if traded maybe the team that gets him can restructure his contract (I'm not to familiar with contract situations). Please don't bash me with "Why does everyone think every player can be traded!" The man has made it clear. I know there's other needs that Ricky's value can be used to fill, but Zach and Ray in the middle just sounds.........
 
Depends. Seems like an even trade both ways. Either team gets a talented veteran, who was once one of the top in the league. Both players have potential to be the best in the league, and only have a few years left in the tank. Just a matter of which position needs more help... LB or RB? It is all opinion really.
 
I would except he wants MORE money...not less money

I love Ray Lewis I wish he was a dolphin Id do the trade, but I doubt he would restructure
 
ray lewis has spoken to ozzie newsome about his situation in baltimore and ozzie has told him that he will not trade him. He is already one of the highest paid linebackers in the league and the only thing that is going to happen is a holdout before training camp.

sry, but yea, it would be sweet to have zach and ray lewis in the 3-4.
 
i really hope they dont trade ray.i live in abltimore an goto some games and hes my favorite non dolphin but it would be wrong for him to leave baltimore

Lewis pissed on our field...let him take his lame self somewhere else, we don't need him... his baggage or his price tag. Let him go hurt some else cap.
 
Lewis does not merit a look. He's not the player he once was but wants more money. He would be a huge waste of cap money.
 
For me, his salary is likely to be the limiting factor. The kind of money he would get just wouldn't be plausible. I'm sure he could definitely contribute to the Phins but I think it's not likely to happen and I fear any team will have to give up a lot if it wants to get him.

Nah, he is a rat, and an alleged murderer.
 
We have a middle linebacker. No need for this overrated thug. His career is on the decline and everyone knows it.
 
i honestly dont want a dinosaur like ray lewis who is overrated and always hurt on this team, ricky is more valuable to this team now then lewis willever be in the present and future, Saban even said this team is a 4-3 with glimpses of 3-4 scatered here and there, due to our personel
