Last year Kyler Murray looked incredible but he's struggling in the NFL so far. How do we know that's not the case for Tua also? He looks great, but it's college and it's Alabama. What do you guys think of Jalen Hurts? He was successful in two offensive schemes. Seeing how the NFL is evolving (Jackson, Mahomes) would he be a better selection for us?

Like I said, just a topic for conversation.

So far, from what were hearing down here in Davie, the front office want a cerebral (Tom Brady like) QB to run this complicated O. Tua, Fromm, and to a less extend Herbert look like they would be the front running candidates. But, there's a lot of college football left to play, so who knows who may ascend when all is said and done?

Let me get this straight,to hedge against drafting Tua,you want to draft Jalen Hurts?..The guy Tua beat out at Bama, and the reason Jalen is at OK....
Give me a second to process this...

You might want to also take into consideration the Hurts was put in when Tua struggled last year against Georgia and sparked a come from behind victory.

Dude...I went to school at the Capstone...We know all about Tua and Jalen....Thank you for playing..next!!

and Tua got crippled..thats' why Jalen came in..

Hurts was put in when Tua left the game due to injury after Jonah Williams stepped on his already injured ankle and nearly broke it.

If we draft Hurts and Tua is sitting there...I'm picking a new team on the spot. I wouldn't be able to do it anymore.

Let Murray measure the game in his mind while he’s playing before we say in his third game as a rook he’s struggling...I didn’t see anything thus far that would make me change my own personal evaluation..

Tua is a dual threat qb..he can get us out of chaos in the pocket and make plays when he sees fit..jmo..

No kidding. We give Ryan Tannehill 7 years but somehow Kyler Murray's level is cemented after 3 games, and Daniel Jones' level after 1 game.

I seem to remember being ridiculed after posting 2 lengthy pre-draft negative reviews of Robert Griffin, specifically devoted to his personality.

Always ignore today. That is a great philosophy. The worst analysts are forever absorbing today's details as if they somehow change matters.

Jalen Hurts does have a bizarre high YPA this year. I think it is 14.4, or something like that. Not many attempts, maybe half as many as Joe Burrow. That's why his 12.3 is more meaningful at this stage. Plus Burrow is doing it in an offense with no history along those lines, while Lincoln Riley has proven time and again that his designs create lethal downfield opportunities, along with the catch and run stuff.

I will say that Hurts looks considerably more relaxed than any any point at Alabama, and with greater touch. Not sure if that means he is feeling less pressure from the sideline...who knows?

Regardless, I can't make him a top prospect not matter what he does.

Murray looked outstanding vs Baltimore. The problem for Arizona in 2019 is that the offense depends on WR's 3 and 4 being better than CB's 3 and 4, and that's not been the case. I think Isabella, Butler, and Johnson have the ability to develop into the receivers the offense needs, but 2019 was always going to be tough.

The other major problem is that the RZ offense is trash. KK keeps spreading out the D and passing, which gives Murray remarkably small windows. Condense the D to pass or spread it out to run. While Murray is going through some growing pains - like any rookie QB - Kingsbury is struggling more. Hope he's able to figure it out. The bad OL doesn't help.

I agree! I’m not for drafting Tua or Fromm “especially Fromm” but to draft Hurts **** that! I will definitely find a new team.

Thill had all those years and NO Big Daddy waiting in the woodshed!

I've checked and SFL zoning laws still allow woodsheds and Big Daddy loves the sunshine!

I mean -- just like Mister Grier -- ya gotta believe in synchronicity and "collaboration!"

No kidding. The increasing level of instant gratification and instant judgement among fans is maddening.

Historically, the QB position has taken years to develop. Dan Marino was an outlier. John Elway struggled his rookie season, as did Peyton Manning. And Drew Brees.

This day and age of QB/offensive friendly rule changes has certainly made it easier and more common to hit the ground running, but even what Patrick Mahomes accomplished his 1st season as a starter is an outlier.

Yet some fans never learn.

Kyler Murray surely hasn’t blown up like Mahomes did as a sophomore, but still threw for 300+ yards his 1st two games out and even managed a tie in one of those games. Doesn’t matter that the stats were compiled chasing points. No other rookie QB managed to do it.

And he’s playing on a team that was bad enough to earn the top pick last season. So it’s not like he’s working with the same talent as KC.

I don’t pretend to know whether Murray was a wise pick or not or whether he’ll become a viable QB or not. But I do know that it’s beyond ignorant to be drawing conclusions right now.
