I know this topic has been beaten into the ground and what's done is done but while I was listening to a podcast yesterday that Drew was a guest on he mentioned something interesting.

The hosts asked him if he ever thinks about how his life could have gone had he gone to the Dolphins. Drew then mentions that the Dolphins actually passed on him twice. He said during the draft his agent was close with a Dolphins scout and the scout told Drew's agent if he was still there at pick #26 the dolphins were taking him. So pick #26 came up in the draft and drew was waiting for the Dolphins to call then watched the board was we elected to pick Jamar Fletcher instead.

Just an interesting tidbit I heard and wanted to share.

Please disregard the extra "e" on Brees in the title :nuke:

This is old news. Most of us that remember that draft want to forget it.

Yep, but no telling how he would've performed in Miami. Let's move past this, this horse has been beaten to death for the past 13 years.

I for one dont care. There have been a ton of talent we have picked wrong or good talent we have skipped over. I just want a good GM and coach.

Remember when we skipped over Randy Moss for Kareem Abdul-Jabar or skipped over Patrick Willis for Tedd Ginn and his family? Yeah **** this team. Lol

To be fair, he DID lead with, "I know this topic has been beaten into the ground...."

Between that and the way he bungled the end of the Patriots game at the end of the 2002 season and costing the team the playoffs, Dave Wannstedt should have been thrown out of the door before New Year's. Completely unforgivable.

It could be worse. Brees was never ours to begin with and the reasons he was never a Dolphin actually make sense.

We have these conversations about Brees as if Chargers fans don't exist.

As if we deserved him because we now have the power of hind sight.

The Chargers should still have Brees, drafted Larry Fitzgerald, won 2-3 super bowls, put a major dent in the Patriots dynasty, and NOT MOVED TO LOS ANGELES.

But ya, we have beef.
