When is the last time we were 6-1 odds for anything positive? Its just odds but its good to see the franchise get respect again pre-season or no. The good ol' days need to come back!!!

If the odds are 15 to 1 you are getting pretty crappy odds on the Phins in my opinion. My sportsbook is 30-1 Now 15 to 1 is what they are giving for afc champions

That's not an opinion. It's a galactic understatement.

Taking 6/1 on the Dolphins is a blatant donation, regardless of outcome.

"Gamblers are screw ups." I heard that astute sentence from Scotty Schettler, sportsbook manager of the Stardust, during my first month in town in 1984. It jolted me into a realization that casinos knew they didn't have to be perfect, or even sharp, given the donations. Stand behind a typical video poker player for 3 minutes and you'll see gems like holding a face card to go along with a pair of 9s, brainstorms like that.

Never make a sports wager without an understanding of the going rate. Walking into the sportsbook at the hotel you are staying at and plunking down at those odds is the height of screwing up, similar to altering video poker from a 97% expectation to 90% via poor choices. Nevada thrives on that.

Here's a site that's always a good consensus reference. There has been very little movement on the Dolphins. The Jets and Ravens have dropped the most, in terms of odds to win the AFC:
