Hall Of Famer
Everybody bashes when someone brings up a trade for a potentially good player like Rivers and says that since he is not starting he would be a waste. Then they say how there will be so many Qb;s in next draft even though we probably wont be drafting that high and no matter it will take time to develop. Early last year KC was shopping Larry Johnson and many on this board were talking the same smack about how stupid that would be. My point if there is one, is that with players that obviously are talented and decently high picks, if we had taken a risk to trade for players like this we would be in better shape than trading for third string running backs and quarterbacks. Our return on investment for Feeley and Gordan seems to be basically nil. Now I'm not saying that we are not on a new direction with Saban and probably a good one, its just that a qb needs to be developed and the longer we wait the older our team gets. So lets quit hoping for next year and get its done. We have been waiting for next year for over 10 years.
