That sucks for Will Allen, but Sean Smith is already better than him and Davis is probably just as good (as Allen). Finally, no more rotating Smith and Davis.

Actually IMO this isnt that bad at all. Yes, I am an Allen fan so it sucks for him, and he can help young corners, but only to an extent. If we had won yesterday it would have been a big blow. BUt be realistic here, at 2-4, Miami needs to go 8-2 to have a playoff berth, it aint happening with this team and this schedule. They will be lucky to go 1-1 in the next 2 at NY and at NE. So at this point, it will just give, like Henne, a much better and longer look at the 2 rookie corners to see what they really have and give them both a ton of experience, 10 games worth. Instead of half and half.

I hate this news, but I think our depth at corner is good. I am comfortable with Smith, Davis, and Jones. I wish we had W. Allen, but Sparano can develop our rookie corners more by playing them full-time.

Dolfan here too but agree that wins aren't really helping us now. I'd almost prefer to have a better draft slot and develop the young guys.

Henne is already in and our OL is young but how about guys like Culver and Jason Allen (yeah, that guy) playing over the disaster duo of Bell and Wilson.

And how about playing Hartline and Turner a little more instead of Miss Ginn.

S Taylor Mays or WR Dez Bryant could be had if we end up drafting somewhere between 10 and 15. Or maybe Alabama NT Terrence Cody or RB CJ Spiller (if we tag-n-trade Ronnie) or ILB Brandon Spikes?

The thing is, our rookies aren't used to playing as long a season as they have in the NFL. We just have to hope and pray that they have the discipline and the power to maintain themselves and perform consistently over the long season.
