Just How Bad Was The Oline?

checks out. Which is why there’s no reason to not have oline be 2 of our top 3 picks unless we can land a solid guard in free agency but it’ll be tough as there’s a ton of competition as guard play all over the league sucks except for like 10 teams.

All the speed in the world and the quickest passing game can't overcome our pathetic line. I include Armstead whose practice absence and inconsistent availability hurts continuity. Losing Jackson was brutal. We need 2 draft picks on both sides of the line and 1 solid vet Oline and Dline in free Agency.

28% stuffed on all downs and almost half stuffed on 3rd and 4th down with two deep safeties. That's all on the guards, not Armstead, Brewer or Lamm. Eich 85th and Jones 97th out of about 135.

Not sure two rookie offensive linemen is the answer to solving our short yardage problems.

We need at least one new veteran starter at OG. Personally, I’d sign two and not go into the draft needing a rookie starter on the OL.

We also need a blocking tight end, which is equally critical to our running game.

Here are 2 reasons, Miami is not a guard or two away from being a top team.

Passing on elite talent in the draft to fill a need is the road to a weak roster...

They are though.

Two average guards make fix Miami’s entire offense.

Weaver put together a top half defense while throwing him a bunch of ragtag bums as we didn’t have many picks and we weren’t spending in order to get comps. We also were without our two best edge rushers. This year weaver gets to choose his guys while getting Phillips and Chubb back. I see no reason the defense isn’t even better and the offense returns to 2022 or 2023 for maybe even better as even both those years the oline wasn’t great.

ideally your right about the vet guard just not sure we can afford it. Don’t be surprised if 3rd tier guys go for 10-12 million and there’s bidding wars over them. We may be stuck with two rookies.

I’d bring back Wynn but certainly wouldn’t rely on him making it all year so have two high picks with one starting and one ready to step in would be next step.
