Absolutely!!!! Let's keep that weak defense on the field, keep ours off. The cold does not effect throwing the ball, the wind does, but a pounding running game will wear down a defense quicker in freezing weather. (Besides, I am in my fantasy championship game today and have to start Ricky)

Gonna have to. I live in Iowa and KC is 180 miles away and about half hour ago it was -5 degrees and the wind was blowing pretty hard and very cold. The sun is coming out though.

In cold, windy weather it's always best to run the ball.

Luckily, we've got 2 guys that are great at it.

The play of Lousaka Polite is huge today in Arrowhead can
Polite open up so holes for Ronnie and Ricky.....

Using fullback Lousaka Polite as a runner on short yardage. Cut by the Bears in August, he is 3 for 3 on third-and-1 and 3 for 3 on fourth-and-1. That's impressive considering Polite, a fourth-year pro, hadn't been used as a short-yardage runner since college (Pittsburgh

Mammoth tight end Joey Haynos has turned some heads during practice this season at Dolphins camp.

But Miami cornerback Andre Goodman did a double-take when he saw the 6-foot-7, 266-pound rookie lined up in the red zone during the second quarter Sunday against San Francisco.

Goodman was watching from the sideline alongside cornerback Will Allen, who also was surprised.

"We actually said, 'Joey Haynos is in the game!' " Goodman recalled. "The next snap, he scored a touchdown."

The 19-yard reception - Miami's last score in the 14-9 victory - was Haynos' first catch in the NFL. That kind of contribution from an unexpected source has almost become the norm in the Dolphins' turnaround season.

"That's what the good teams do," veteran defensive end Vonnie Holliday said. "Week in and week out, guys are stepping up at a critical time of the season."

Haynos, signed Sept. 24 off the Green Bay practice squad, wasn't the only low-profile player who looked like a star Sunday.

Blitzing from his nickel back position, Nate Jones had two sacks to equal his career total entering the game. Jones became the third Dolphins defensive back to record two sacks in a game (the others were Patrick Surtain in 1999 and Liffort Hobley in '92).

Each of Jones' sacks came with the 49ers in scoring range and helped Miami force them to settle for field goals.

"You have 53 guys on this roster, so you might as well use everybody," said Jones, a career special-teams player who signed as a free agent in March. "When you have depth and have guys who can step in there and make plays, that's when you know you're doing something right."

**good readed **

2. Lousaka Polite (Dolphins) Midseason pick up who has established himself as a powerhouse for Dolphins.

I agree with you Mia4ever

I will add that miami needs to run a two rb set with 2 tightends and 1 wr .

if miami loses this game espn pundits will be saying we told you so about miami .
Michael Smith was just on and said miami is the least improved team in the nfl and said the fins just got lucky more then improved.

he said " the wins over the Rams, San -Fran , and Buffalo were unimpressive.

I can see his point of view only because we have scored less then 17 points a game. if miami is to get in the playoffs they need to score more then a lousy 14 points.
I disagree with this guy in that we are unimproved. I think Miami does need to get better wrs and they need to beat up the bad teams because style points do count to some people.
I think Miami can get to the playoffs but i am concerned about the inability to score enough points.

Great post ACE...

Smith is welcome to his opinion
But as a Dolphins fan I don't share his same views..

Y E S the sch. has been weak ....
but the Dolphins have won games vs playoff teams
and have beaten the teams less .500 (unlikely the Jets)
except Houston who beat Tenn. last week..

SF ,Bill, and RAms all has same quality wins this season
