I'd say Tannenbaum had 2 good draft classes, and the others were complete failures. The 2006 draft was great because they drafted so high and had two 1st round picks, and it was a historically great draft class too with 17 of the 1st round picks ending up as pro-bowlers.
None of the players he traded for stuck around - they played for the Jets anywhere for 1 to 3 years. That's not getting good value out of your picks mid-round picks. The trades he made were terrible - most were made out of desperation because he drafted so poorly. Trades for players happen when you can't draft your own talent. And almost none of his players made it to their 2nd contracts. I'd put this guy a step below Ireland.
