This is by far and away the best game he called this season. I know it was against the hapless Jets, last years coach would have lost this game in grand fashion.. Well not this time.. Great win Go Fins..:dolphins:
 
Middle of the field is still a concern. Brady is not Petty and that game could be a must win.
 
Bryce Petty was absolutely ****ing terrible. He is terrible. He is never going to be anything in the NFL and that should have been obvious tonight.

But I still won't take anything away from Joseph, who is pulling a magic act with what he's got to work with.
 
If Fitzy can have himself a career, surely someone will be dumb enough to think Petty is worthwhile too.
 
Just keep Jelani Jenkins off the damn field. Bad enough we have a liability at SLB, but we can't have atrocious play at WLB when Hewitt is at least serviceable.

Also was that Rambo in the slot, in man coverage, on that first TD? No bueno

Vance has been better on defense than Gase has on offense (yes I am comparing them, lets not get overly emotional about it) . . . however Gase's work with Tannehill ultimately makes him a damn boss.
 
Our run defense is bad. Bilal Powell was running through our defense like we weren't even there. Tackling was poor. Far too many missed tackles. Need to get that stuff fixed!!!

At this point I just don't think that the Dolphins have the personnel, they are who they are. Turnovers are a must.
 
Notice how our o-line wasn't getting any push all night for the running game and Ajayi was getting hit hard by the Jets defenders. We did not get any hard hits on Powell all night long. Jets defenders were hitting our ball carriers harder. We need some thumpers on defense- especially at linebacker. Hewitt, Jenkins, Butler etc are not hitters. We need some 250 pound linebackers who can run and hit when they arrive at the ball carrier.
 
Good news...our LB and OL needs are not expensive in FA so that is great. Wecan sprinkle in FA and draft and we will be in good position next year. I also believe the staff has will have much more pull with the draft given how well they performed this season.
 
I'm still concerned with game prep. All of these first possession touchdowns are not good. But he seems to be excellent at in game coaching and at making adjustments. That sequence where they challenged the spot, pushed the Jets back to fourth and one, and stuffed them on fourth down was one of those "things that happen to good teams and not us" type moments that made me feel like we were watching a legitimate football team.
