I'm not defending Tannehill, but here is what I saw. Gase plays are designed for a 4 second drop count. Tannehill only has 2 to 3 seconds tops to throw the ball. Think we need to add a Fullback. To maybe get his play calling to work. Gase play calling is a huge problem. We need to go back to short routes. 10 yard patterns ain't going to work with this offense line. Sad but True

Why would you watch that crap again?

4 seconds? UNHEARD OF!

Joking aside, that is a substantial amount more than this team has ever allowed Tannehill. Gase must have expected a miracle to expect that level of production.

:err: Nothing takes that long to develop. Even in Gase's offense.

EX: a 12 yd speed out timed with a 5 step drop takes less than 1.5 seconds.

If that's the case, Thill ain't the problem it's been Gase all along. He should be given a cigarette then shot

No, if you're seeing things that appear they're supposed to be 4 seconds it's bc our players are too stupid to get there in less than that and the coaches are too stupid to do what they should to fix it.

4 seconds is a pocket they create in Green Bay, Pittsburg, Dallas and Arizona .... are you sure you were watching our game?

Yet I keep seeing these graphics of QBs who get rid of the ball in 2.5 secs and +2.5 secs. And their qb rating when doing so. Getting 4 secs .... Is eternity in football.

Its clear the receivers can make plays down the field. I'm not sold the problem is the play calling. The line just does not hold up at the most critical moments because defenses know they are the weak link. YOU ALWAYS ATTACK THE WEAK LINK. Gase is however being stubborn thinking the line will do their job. Its so fn obvious they're complete garbage as a unit

But Gase is a QB whisperer and an offensive guru!!

Supposedly Gase had to dumb down the offense this last game, but I hope he doesn't do it again. As stupid as our guys are, they will never learn if he coddles them. Not saying we should have the entire playbook in every week, but we need to get to the point where our guys can run the offense as designed, even if it means more loses. It's not like we are going to make the playoffs anyway. Obviously, we didn't want our season to start off this way, but now is the time to learn the whole offense, grow as a team, and evaluate our guys for next year. Those who are here to just collect their checks need to be shown the door this coming off-season.

Gase doesn't believe in using a fullback

Anything over 3 seconds is considered elite protection.....Tannehill is getting hit at around 2 seconds most of the time. He needs to play better no doubt, but the people saying he needs to step up or run make me laugh. He would have to decide to run every time he drops back....3 step drop and run, without looking at a receiver. He 90% of the time is hit before he can go to a second read. It is generally 3 step, first read and bam if not less time. With that being said, I think and have thought that he should have more designed runs when they bring pressure like that!

agree with you, but in my opinion it isn't correctable any longer. dude is a tough sob but i see a guy who panics back there even when he has time since he is so used to getting blasted. i actually recall a play where he tried to step up yesterday (which shouldn't stick out in my mind after all these years) and still got swallowed up.

Gase needs to realize we can't run a basic run play for positive yardage nor do we have an o line who can block well enough to keep the qb from peeing blood. We need a blocking fullback running back and Max protect just to have a chance at getting a play off lol.
