Just When I Thought We Had A Vertical Threat In Ginn...

Again. His arm strength dosent kill him in deep balls. Its the 20 yard deep outs that his arm strength will hurt. He throws a nice accurate deep ball. Especially off play action. THIS HELPS Ted Ginn and our entire offense emensly. How soon do you forget all the deep balls he hit on us to Coles?
 
Yea i have to admit, for every time i insulted the mans arm strength, he would play against Miami and beat our S's senseless through the air.

Absolutely. His deep posts are a thing of beauty. It's the sideline stuff that will get him in trouble, like Trent Green last year for us. The velocity on the out pattern is often times the first thing to go on a QB.

i think thats the most important thing...moving the chains...people soon forget that we werent gonna throw the rock that much ANYWAY...we built the line to run run run
 
John Beck throws the best deep ball on the team and non of you want him for your vertical threat....hmmmm
 
Pennington best throw in the deep inside slant.

Go back watch highlights of Pennington to Moss at Marshall.

The inside slant and crossing routes are things of beauty.

No, he DOES have the long throws, it's the hard throws he doesn't have. He'll get the bombs down cold as MrClean's link clearly shows. It's the ones where you just have to rifle them in there that he'll have difficultly on.
 
It was encouraging to hear that Jets WR Jericho Cotchery said that Penningtons' passes had more zip on them this year in training camp then in the past

Beck doesn't have the experience or knowledge of the pro game yet to make the other throws. Pennington can disect a defense and make the throw in 3 secs....Beck can't....yet

I hope so. But, weren't those highlights two rotator cuff surgeries ago?
