Justin Smiley

Jake and Justin mention each other a lot in their respective interviews, and you can tell there is mutual respect between them. I really believe that when the final guard spot is locked up, this o-line could be one of the top in the league. And I expect plenty of run plays designed for the left side.

Just listened to Justin's interview. I am happy that he speaks very highly of Jake, that can only be a good thing. Actually, both Justin and Vernon Carey speak highly of Jake.

And when you think about how young our line is... They are going to be a very good line for a long time.

Jake will be a great player. lets try not to compare him to anyone though. Lets just wait until other teams are trying to compare THEIR LTs to HIM.

Once we get Vernon signed long term . . . and hopefully one of the rooks (Thomas or Murphy) can be solid starters by next year . . . this OLine is gonna be BEASTLY and young . . . we have alot of cap room, but Ronnie is in year 4 of 5 . . . we are gonna have to get him signed also . . . but I am in love with the pieces that we are putting together. Man imagine getting a Michael Crabtree next year in the draft (if he lives up to the show he provided last year) . . . and Fasano ends up being the real deal at TE . . . the QB position shapes up and either Beck or Henne steps up . . . yoooo this team has potential to be something special . . . smash mouth football at its finest. Very exciting time to be a Fin fan if u ask me.
