correct me if I am wrong, but wasnt Keith Byars the one that told the Jets Marinos audibles?

I know he had a fall out with JJ, but that is F'ed up and he should no longer be associated with this organization.
 
He also caught Marino's TD pass that broke Tarkenton's record, if I'm not mistaken.

That is true. He was talking about it on 790 about half an hour ago.
 
Pardon my ignorance, but how is Byars connected to the organization now? Did we hire him as a coach. Context, man! We need context!
 
No offense to 790 who may as well do a great job with coverage but they are not wowing me with their hirings so far. Anyone that played for the team is being showcased. The better pregame is likely on 560 with Mad Dog and Kimbo.
 
It was the Pats he went to, and they beat us in the wild-card game (after also beating us week 17 the week before) on route to the SB against GB. And yes, he gave them all Marino's audibles
 
While it is not the most sportsmanlike of moves, don't you think it was partially the coaching staffs fault for not changing the audibles?

Yup. That's why I don't like the guy. That, along with that self-absorved concern of his for keeping that "record" of his intact when he got P.O.'d for not getting a pass thrown to him even though we won the game his "streak" was broken in.

yes sir. i knew i remembered him being a scumbag. as far as catching marinos pass, lets give marino ALL credit for that, not some sellout crybaby.
 
my pops has him insured..buddy is still a beast...he got out of his lincoln one day along with 2 other "bigger ladies" and the car raised at least 3 inches once they all got out...lol
 
Wow, it seems like 790 really wants to have the Dolphins buy them out of their contract for Dolphins games or something, because they are doing basically everything they can to make these radio broadcasts completely unlistenable.

Why dont they just throw Larry Csonka on there? At very least he has experience broadcasting American Gladiators?
