Awesome news, I was getting worried that Philbin was gonna completely overhaul the dolphins defense. Hopefully this will allow some consistency in coaching fundamentals and how the players respond especially at the defensive line position.

good to hear and now we're closer to have the whole staff complete....I believe just RB, WR and a QB coach?

Ozzy rules!!

Lou Anarumo and Joe Philbin first coached together at the US Merchant Marine Academy in 1989. There, Anarumo was the RB Coach while Philbin was the OL Coach, so they worked together to produce the ground attack.

Anarumo then went to Syracuse as a GA, focusing on defense where he worked under Kevin Coyle in 1991.

The best defensive back that Lou Anarumo produced at Marshall, Chris Crocker, has been kicking around Cincinnati's secondary under Kevin Coyle for the last 4 years, after Miami released Crocker.

His best defensive back out of Purdue was Patriots-bane Bernard Pollard.

Serious about the Patriots-bane thing. Pollard wrecked Tom Brady's knee, was flying at Wes Welker when Welker was forced to cut awkwardly shredding his ACL, and most recently in the AFCCG crushed Rob Gronkowski's ankle. All that's left is for Pollard to come flying out of control into the sidelines, giving Belichick the Sean Payton treatment.

Anarumo has also been coaching up a high end DB prospect at Purdue the past couple of years. He may end up surpassing Pollard when he comes out.

Nice.

In addition to Kacy Rodgers, Philbin has also kept: special teams coach Dave Fipp, assistant strength coach Dave Puloka, and defensive quality control coach David Corrao

Sounds like we should be trying to sign Pollard.
