Kaepernick wants $18 mil plus

I would not pay him that much.

He has never impressed me...he needs to thank his head coach.
 
He is better than cutler and will get his payday from some team.

Kid is crap without a run game and a defense. He's a well below average QB on any other team.
 
If I were the 49ers, I would see seeya. They've got a system there right now that doesn't ask the QB to do a ton and they have a wealth of talent that a better passing QB would get better results out of. He's gotten them some cheap wins by being able to make plays with his feet, but the success rate for QB's dependent upon running in the playoffs is dreadfully low. He actually regressed this year as a passer and when he needed to make plays with his arm, he was so used to tucking and running instead that he flopped.
 
My guess is they will kick the can down the road and reevaluate him next year. I certainly wouldn't pay him 18 million dollars a year right now -- I wouldn't pay any QB with his limited starting experience 18 million dollars a year.
 
Im not a huge fan I wouldnt pay it until he does more
 
I've always thought he was overrated. I also think it will be a short term investment, I think Kap gets hurt sooner rather than later. No soup for you, you take what you get.
 
Lets see if they draft a QB. If they do it will be interesting watching this unfold.
 
Well they just traded for Blaine "Whoah there Mother****er" Gabbert...
