With the likely possibility that Ronnie will be gone after next season, Miami probably will have a RB high on the 2011 Draft radar. Here are some videos of KSU's Daniel Thomas. A back that's got Trifecta size (6'2, 228 lbs) and can also be a triggerman for the Wildcat.

This kid is one of the backs I like in college football who's style translates to the NFL in my opinion.... although he tends to run too upright, which is something that you can get away with in college but not so much in the NFL.... that, and he gets caught from behind more often than you'd like to see...

He reminds me a lot of Antowain Smith as a prospect (who Dolphin fans should be plenty familiar with from his Buffalo/New England days)...

Basically identical size (6'2", 230).... and I watched Smith play a little bit in high school when he played for EHS.... before going the JUCO route in Mississippi, and eventually the University of Houston where the Bills drafted him from in the 1st round...

Ironically, Daniel Thomas has taken virtually the same journey to Kansas St....

Yeah, I remember him. Certainly wasn't a flashy RB, but he got the job done.

i would rather have ingram or ryan williams, but this guy is probly in my top 5 or 6.

I like that hes a bit of a thumper, just like Ronnie. what round are they thinking he will go.

I like what he can do. But is it just me or does he seem like a pretty lanky 230ish guy? Must carry a lot of it in his legs.

that bradford kids got some burst and some pop...may bust too many things wide for the next level given i don't see electric speed there...i wonder about his balance also...seemed to lose his footing a bit...he's a load

definitely someone i'm gonna take a hard look at this year...

It's a joy getting to see his games. I love the way he runs. He could work on balance, footwork and keeping things inside as he does go for the edge a LOT. His speed isn't elite by any means for sure. He's someone that will probably wear down defenses. I can see him pairing with a speedy back to form a strong duo.

I think Thomas is a 3rd Round Prospect. In the 2011 Draft i have 3 guys who carry 1st Round Grades...

*Mark Ingram-Alabama
*Ryan Williams-Virginia Tech
*Jacquizz Rodgers-Oregon State

Other players I like in that Round 2-3 range include Noel Devine-West Virginia, John Clay-Wisconsin, Demarco Murray-Oklahoma, and Evan Royster of Penn State

Not a big Allen Bradford fan. A guy who I love as a sleeper is Da'Rel Scott of Maryland. He has good speed and vision; he will be interesting to watch coming back off a major injury.

Thomas was an option QB before coming to K-State, so he's a perfect Wildcat triggerman.

I think Thomas can be a high productive player but backs like him tend to fall come draft day ala Marion Barber. He is certainly a back that fits the Dolphins system but I wouldn't be so sure that Ronnie and Ricky are gone especially with Bill Parcells leaving the picture. Daniel Thomas in Round 3 is a steal. Another guy who is catching my eye is John Clay of Wisconsin
