well, bad news, they're downsizing big-time here at the office, and this is my last day here. :(

good news: i'm bored, so i made a mock! :D

1. Oakland - Calvin Johnson, WR, Georgia Tech - I think when it's all said and done, Al Davis takes the biggest no-brainer in a long long time here.
2. Detroit - Gaines Adams, DE, Clemson - This is really tough, but ultimately I think they go defense here.
3. Cleveland - JaMarcus Russell, QB, LSU - In a situation similiar to the Titans with Vince Young last year, the coaching staff is high on Quinn, while the owner really loves Russell. So I think they go Russell.
4. Tampa Bay - Joe Thomas, T, Wisconsin - No way the Bucs let Thomas slip any further than this.
5. Arizona - Adrian Peterson, RB, Oklahoma - BPA, plus the aging Edge isn't going to be as effective nowadays without an excellent guy to take carries away from him. Dangerous offense!
6. Washington - Adam Carriker, DE, Nebraska - I think this pick will be traded with Miami. :)
7. Minnesota - LaRon Landry, S, LSU - Considered by some to be the best safety prospect in a long time. I don't buy that hype necessarily, but still a very good player.
8. Atlanta - Amobi Okoye, DT, Louisville - Reunites with his old coach and fills a need.
9. Miami - Brady Quinn, QB, Notre Dame - :D
10. Houston - Joe Staley, T, Central Michigan - Fits Houston's offense well, and finally fills that LT spot, which they've never addressed.
11. San Francisco - Jamaal Anderson, DE, Arkansas - I think they'd prefer Carriker, but oh well!
12. Buffalo - Patrick Willis, LB, Ole Miss - They need some big linebacker help now! And luckily for them the best one in the draft is sitting there. :nono:
13. St. Louis - Alan Branch, DT, Michigan - Very good value pick IMO. Goes around the same time as Ngata last year, similiar player. Should help out that pourous defense a ton.
14. Carolina - Greg Olsen, TE, Miami (FL) - Doesn't look to be too many holes on this team...they haven't had a good TE in a while.
15. Pittsburgh - Levi Brown, T, Penn State - Good value pick here. Put him at RT.
16. Green Bay - Leon Hall, CB, Michigan - Another good value pick. Should probably go higher, but I didn't see any other team to take him...
17. Jacksonville - Robert Meachem, WR, Tennessee - I think this would be Ginn, but his pro day may have hurt him to go this high.
18. Cincinnati - Reggie Nelson, S, Florida - A pick that addresses a need, and also helps get rid of the stench of the bad character guys they've drafted recently.:)
19. Tennessee - Marshawn Lynch, RB, Cal - I know, it's hard to imagine both Buffalo and Green Bay passing on Lynch, but apparently his stock is falling...supposedly.
20. New York Giants - Darrelle Revis, CB, Pittsburgh - Not lookin' good at corner right now, they need a lot of help on defense.
21. Denver - Jarvis Moss, DE, Florida - This is a damn good value pick. :)
22. Dallas - Lawrence Timmons, LB, FSU - He's ranked pretty high on everyone's boards. Kinda curious to me...
23. Kansas City - Ted Ginn, Jr, WR, Ohio State - Supposedly Dante Hall is on the trading block.
24. New England (f/Seattle) - Paul Posluszny, LB, Penn State - Seems to fit that New England character mold...Is this a steal or a reach? Lots of opinions on Pos.
25. New York Jets - Aaron Ross, CB, Texas - Not sure who's ranked higher at this point, Ross, Houston or McCauley. I'll go Ross here, why not...
26. Philadelphia - Dwayne Bowe, WR, LSU - Not a huge need, but a huge player. Fits the offense very well.
27. New Orleans - Chris Houston, CB, Arkansas - Coin-flip. Houston had some amazing combine numbers.
28. New England - Marcus McCauley, CB, Fresno State - The Pat Hill connection is strong here. Everyone has the Pats taking McCauley at some point.
29. Baltimore - Tony Ugoh, T, Arkansas - Haven't heard his name in a while, but what the hey, I'll pencil him here late first. :)
30. San Diego - Steve Smith, WR, USC - I think it's gotten to the point where Smith will be drafted ahead of his inferior teammate Dwayne Jarrett.
31. Chicago - Zach Miller, TE, Arizona State - A reach? Chicago wants a legitimate TE.
32. Indianapolis - Brian Leonard, RB, Rutgers - :) Dungy likes the two back system, and he liked the big bruiser he had in Tampa Bay named Mike Alstott. Leonard is a lot like Alstott.

go ahead and put money on these picks, because they're 100% accurate, guaranteed.

I like your mock, but I don' see Staley going at 11. And just looking at your draft, I realized, what if Cleveland take AP? Arizona doesn't need a QB, and neither does Washington. I could see Minnesota take one, but Atlanta wouldn't. Maybe we wouldn't have to move up for Quinn.

Good Luck with your work situation...

I like the Mock Uf sorry bout your job. But that might be too high for staley.

Very good mock all around. It's obviously a good mock for Miami and I too think they will trade up to 6 for Quinn.
