I loved the way Kay-Jay Harris ran on Saturday night. This guy is a beast with a burst, who isn't afraid of a little contact. He really runs hard, and I think can be an effective backup for Brown. At 235 pounds, he showed some pretty nifty agility, albeit against 2nd and 3rd teamers. I'd like to see what he can do as the top backup. Riggs also looked pretty good, and Morris just didn't get enough touches...but I'd like to see Harris get 10-15 carries this week.

Also, on a horrible night for our secondary, I really liked the way Eddie Jackson played. Maybe this guy can be our 4th CB.

You don't put KJ in the #2 spot if you want to protect your QB. His blocking is suspect at best. Sammy handles the blocking schemes quite well. It would take a big name to come in before Sammy lost his spot.

When Kay-Jay and Ronnie were drafted, there were some videos of their college plays floating around. I watched one of Kay-Jay and wondered why we wasted a pick on RB! LOL. Of course Nick knows more than me, but I've pulled for Kay-Jay to make the active roster. Hopefully it will be this year.

I wasnt impressed with KJ at all

At one point he had 5 carries for 14 yards (less than 3 per carry) and thats against 3rd stringers (to be fair he is also playing WITH 3rd stringers) he looked good on the pass reception but other than that he wasnt impressive at all IMO

Kay-Jay wasn't drafted. He went undrafted. But yeah, Kay-Jay was impressive.

the league doesn't work like madden. Morris can be used in just blocking situations. Sure, eventually it would give away that we a passing, but ronnies going to be in the game for the most part, so i don't think it'd ever be a concern. If Harris was the #2 back, it'd be for his running ability.

Kay-Jay wasn't drafted he was an UDFA.

It's not fair to judge a player just by stats, especially for an RB in such limited action. KJ had a great burst, I wasn't expecting to be impressed at all but I was. He just didn't have any holes to run through because of his 3rd string OL.

Playing against a second and third string D-Line

So that should be a wash IMO

He looked great on the pass reception I admit

Me too. Had he picked up that block near the goaline, he would have been the star RB of the game. I still give him my gameball. Ronnie is obviously the starter, and Morris is the backup. But Minor and Harris could be battling for the #3 spot. If anything, I think Kay Jay should get the #4 RB spot and practice blocking on special teams all season.

Well every time he got the ball he had nowhere to go, there were about 7 defenders in his way. So I'd say their line was getting the best of ours. I was just judging the physical characteristics of him as a runner, it is impossible to use a very small preseason sample to qualify a player's ability or inabtlity, at least an RB.

the depth is good at RB, dont mind harris if brown is healthy, would mind any of them if brown was not healthy

KJ will be the #3 back, but Vick will be our 3rd down back by the time the regular season starts. Wait til teams have to game plan for that, a rb that can run, catch and is more accurate at thowing the ball than 2/3rds of the starting QBs in the league!!!!

i personally know kay jay harris....while he was in high school he was in a serious car accident in which he was the passanger....the driver of the car kay jay was in was his step brother and he is my cusins husband....ive hung out with kay jay many times and his attitude towards other ppl alone makes me hope that he gets a roster spot. lets also not forget his 300 yrd performance in college

Vick is listed as a WR/PR/QB.
