kay-jay harris #?

Yep. That said, I don't think I'd carve that in stone for a while. He very well may want to go with 41 or 31 once Avon and/or Sammy leave the team. I'm speculating here, of course. My flimsy basis is that he was #1 at WVU and might want to do what he can to keep "1" in his number.

Thats a good point actually.

A lot of the guys have already changed... Vickerson, Daniels and Alabi changed after a few days.

If Morris gets cut and Harris takes 31, it will be tough for me not to get that jersey. It would be nice to support WVU, the Dolphins, and NASCAR driver Jeff Burton in one article of clothing.

Aside from Csonka's 39, the only number not taken in the RB range is #34. I assume that is no coincidence. Whether it's a matter of them not being able to assign that to anybody due to contract, not wanting to use it that badly, or trying to leave it open as a signal that Ricky's jersey is there waiting for his return, it's hard to argue that's a coincidence when there are people actually sharing numbers in the 40s for now.

most notably #48 - William Delahouysse (whatever his name is) and former USC TE Alex Holmes.

The only reason I mention that one is because I really like Holmes. Could be very effective in Linehan's system.

I wish they'd let RBs and WRs use single digit numbers in the NFL. They just look so much better.

Yeah... I'd let them all do it. The NFL relaxed the rules last year with the WRs, they may as well just let them all wear what they want.

If you notice, Tillman gave Daniels 21, and Tillman switched to 26.

The rules need to be revamped if you ask me. I'd suggest this:

K and P wear 0x (x=1 through 9) numbers. Heck, if not this, have them wear letters. Why not have the K wear K (with the second one wearing K2) and the punter wear P?

QBs - 0-19
RBs - 0-49
WRs - 0-49
DBs - 20-59
TEs - 40-59
LBs - 40-69
DLs - 50-99
OLs - 50-99 and 00 (we need some defensive end nicknamed "buckshot")

In essence, I'd like to see the numbers get bigger as the players get bigger.
