In the last eight years the Miami Dolphins picked John Avery, Jamar Fletcher, Yatil Green and Vernon Carey, and traded away four years picks, two of them for the late great Ricky Williams.

It is a combination of extraordinary incompetence and extraordinary bad fortune in the cases of Green and Williams. But the bottom line is one powerful reason why the franchise finds itself where it is now.

It is also why Miami should stick with their No 2 pick where the chances are much greater for picking up an impact player who will help them for years to come.

The Dolphins team which challenges for a superbowl will look quite different from next year's squad. This is a rebuild project, built through the draft and excellent coaching. Too many screw ups in the past few years have all but guaranteed that. For true Dolfans who are prepared to stick around for three or four years the reward will come. :cooldude: :o

I'm such a hard core fin fan i even had a hand made David woodley jersey back in the day. Now that is hard core. They used to call me woodley back in school.

Wanny mostly made those mistakes(Give Carey time because I think he will work out) and Jimmy Johnson liked to take chances on problem players.

Saban is here and the world is great again. We haven't been real good since we had that other 5 letter last name coach that began with an S also. :cooldude:
