Keep in mind people, it's PRESEASON

Just Sayin', this team sucks worse erevy year. Henne sucks ***!
 
When will it end.

Last year it was, "It's just preseason."

Then it's, "It's just week five dude."

Then, "There's still the second half of the season left."

And my personal favorite, "Well, if this team loses, and this team over in the NFC loses or ties, and this team loses the next three weeks, all we have to do is win out and we can back into the playoffs! There's still hope!"
 
Here's the thing .... if a QB looks good or great during the preseason, it's just preseason. If a QB looks terrible during the preseason, it's cause for concern.

Any QB worth his weight SHOULD look good in preseason. The lone exception are rookie QB's that are adjusting to the league. However, there is no reason for a veteran QB to struggle against vanilla defenses.
 
Keep in mind, most of us have been here for years and have heard the same "it's preseason" crap year after year, yet most of the things we notice and are worried about in preseason are problems in the regular season as well.

I totally agree with you... but with the lockout and trying to install a new offence we should look worse than an offence that has no real changes... my concern was the look of our starting D... we have 10 returning starters and we need to be better than what was shown tonight...
 
Whoever says it's just preseason is exactly why the Phins will never be a top team. It is the same mindset of the coaching staff that evidently trickles down to the team.

Get ready for a loosing season Phins fan.

I don't know why you're equating the "it's just preseason" people on here with the coaching staff. In fact, I would say they are polar opposites, as Sparano showed (to much criticism) last year in the 4th game by keeping the starters out there, and even tonight when the first team played longer than expected, that Sparano wants to see you do something thats gosh darn worthwhile, preseason or not.

well, its not the fact its pre season, this is what he is in trouble for.

he throws more pics than td's, pre season or regular season and that is why his job is in jeapordy. its the last thing caoches and MOST fans dont want to see, pre season or not. its a concern, a big one and one he still seems to be plauged by.

I'm here to tell you... Chad Henne is extremely poorly coached. The details of playing the quarterback position are NOT being taught.

He was more decisive and more confident as a rookie...

All he's done the past two seasons is sit back there double clutching the football, not trusting what he sees, and constantly delivering the ball late.... especially on routes outside the numbers where the top priority is to NOT be late with the throw... The same thing he was doing tonight... and it's the same thing you're going to see all season.

Pat Devlin's mechanics are so much more solid... I feel absolutely terrible for Devlin. This coaching staff will ruin him too... He has the potential to develope into a backup caliber NFL quarterback, and I gurantee that's exactly what would happen if someone like Andy Reid or Bill Musgrave were to get their hands on him...

You people think I bash these knuckleheads? Not even close... I just like to play around with some of the homers around here.. they're fun to mess with...

Most of you wouldn't want to hear what I really think...
 
didnt we go 4-0 in preseason when we went 1-15? just asking.
2nd pick was horrible...good to see him actually hit a 44 long td. we'll see.
