Hey, does anyone know where I can find a link to an article that talks about how we are going to keep the same offensive system and use the same terminology even though we are bringing in MM?

i think it was on this site front page awhile back. I read it, just cant remember

ok, I found it Nasty! here ya go:

Offensive System To Remain The Same
Wednesday, 25 January 2006

The Dolphins will keep the same offensive system in 2006 despite a change in coordinators, coach Nick Saban said Wednesday. Mike Mularkey was hired last week as offensive coordinator to replace Scott Linehan, who departed to become head coach of the St. Louis Rams. But Saban said the offensive schemes and terminology will remain the same as last season, his first with Miami. "We're going to keep things as consistent for our players as we can, so we can grow and develop the things that we have already put in place in the first year," Saban said. "Every offensive coach I've ever hired, I've always let them use their terminology. And every defensive coach I've hired, I've adjusted to what they do," Saban said. "If we're not smart enough as coaches to learn the terminology we need to let the players have success, then we're not the kind of teachers we need to be. I'm totally confident that we will be able to do that."

Doesn't mean Mularkey is going to learn how to call plays. You guys are in for a real treat this year.

Why, are you in an argument about our aquisition of DC? lol

Oh God, hear we go again........ MM doesn't have to worry about the crappy personnel this year which hindered his playcalling.

This is another advantage for choosing Culpepper over Brees...Culpepper has nothing really to learn coming here, our offense = Viking offense more or less was installed last year from Vikes former offensive coordinator.
Culpepper will hit the ground running when he starts playing probaly early October( this is purley an a opinion on my behalf since Culpepper injury recovery has been forecasted to be October) IM guessing Culpepper will not be the starter for the first 2-3 games do to he anticipated recovery time. I hope to God he starts the first game, but at the same time, I dont want him to start unless he is as close to 100% as he is going to be either. Brees weak *** arm is not a good fit for the Saban preferred long ball style.

Here's a quote from Saban's PC after the Culpepper trade.

We’re very pleased and happy to be able to acquire a player of Daunte Culpepper’s caliber relative to his performance, his character, his leadership ability with the team that has been very effective throughout most of his career. He wanted to come here. He has a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience in the system that we have. Because of Scott Linehan’s time here over the past year as well as Charlie Baggett being on the staff with Daunte, it was very easy to get the kind of information that we needed to get to make a good choice and decision about the kind of person that he was relative to the kind of people that we want on our team, and that’s certainly something that we felt was a really positive thing for us and it was something that we couldn’t pass up.

PRECISELY.

Holy Testicle Tuesday, Bills fans are so DENSE!

if i've learned one thing over my 17 years as a dolphin fan it's never listen to a bills fan, by far the most disillusioned and disgruntled sports fans ever. mularkey is a great addition and so is capers. saban is putting all the pieces together and i am thrilled to have such a competent and strong leader at the helm.

Crappy personel had nothing to do with Mularkey calling pass plays from 1st and goal inside the 5 or putting a rookie WR in at QB with a cast on his throwing hand!!

It was Mularkey's brain that did that. You guys seem to think that a guy who was voted as worst coach in Bills history is a great addition to your team. I for one, am looking forward to your offense struggling next year. :sidelol:

Voted worst coach in Bills history? By who? The BillsZone times?

You guys had plenty of bad coaches: Williams, Phillips, ect.

Mularkey was your coach for just TWO SEASONS. He failed because of poor front office moves(Donahoe) and a cheap opener(Wilson). I am not saying that Mularkey was a good head coach(because I don't think he was), but here in Miami he is not the head coach. He is back doing what he does best, being a good team's offensive coordinator. Just look what he was able to accomplish in Pittsburgh with Stewart and Maddox as his starting QBs. In Miami, he has a top 5 QB in Culpepper. Plus, unlike Buffalo's offense, Miami has some excellent players. Chambers, Booker, McMichael, Brown, Williams, Beasley. Dude, our offense is going to dominate this season. :D

In Buffalo you can continue to change head coaches, but until you hire a REAL coach and not one that FAILED with another team, you will always continue to be at the bottom of the NFL. It doesn't help that you have an owner that doesn't know what day of the week it is and doesn't want to spend any of his money. Look, you guys could have had Jim Bates as your DC, but you went so cheap on him that he chose to sit out the year then coach your defense.
