Keith Armstrong Will Be Fired

I would be willing to bet a lot of money that we have a new ST coach by next season. Why? Well, first of all, our return game has just not been that good.. it started off OK but lately it has added very little spark. But thats not even the main reason. The reason I am so confident this will happen is because in almost every game I have watched, I have seen Nick walk over to Armstrong and just kind of look at him like "What he hell was that Keith?" A perfect example- today, the 12 men on the field penalty was HUGE.. and if you watch the game, you can tell Nick knew that. He contained his anger, but did let out some frustration on Keith. Not the first time I have seen a mistake on ST (The Mare punt anyone?) and not the first time I have seen Nick show his displeasure with Keith.

Not to mention, Nick didnt "pick" him.

I agree. I thought keith should've been gone a long time ago. He will be fired. blocking is very poor during returns. Wes creates his own holes.

I'm with you on that one.

But, without trying to defend Armstrong, Saban's constant shuffling of the bottom players (i.e special teamers) must be taken into consideration.
I mean, one week he's teaching Heath Evans, Lamar Gordon, and Tony Bua and the next week he's got a new set of players. Must be frustrating.

Another indicator that Saban has no confidence is the lack or non existence or trick plays such as fake FG's or onside kicks, we've attempted.

We have some of the best coverage teams in the NFL. Returns like Northcut's have been few and far between.

It's Welker's responsibility, as the returner, to count the number of players on the field.

armstrong is a very good ST coach.

Pretty reliable kicker.

My point wasnt that I HAVE SEEN BAD THINGS FROM THE ST, rather I have seen Nick get on Keith's case several times, and he has made some big mistakes that were just caused by bad coaching.. like the 12 men on the field. You have to keep in mind that any coach Nick has kept from the previous era is on a shorter leash.

If this does happen, (I'm not sure Armstrong deserves to be fired), we can bring back Mike Westhoff! There's sure to be a purge in Jetsland after their season, which is making ours look like 19-0.
