Ken Griffey Jr TOPS Vernon Wells

Griffey will always remain my favorite. He is why I grew to love baseball. There has not been a sweeter swing in baseball. Its just too bad injuries bogged him down or else it would've been Griffey chasing Aaron instead of the douche Bonds.
 
Gotta love it. I'm happy Jr. is back in form. Baseball fans were cheated by his lost years.

I grew up just 3 hours from the Kingdome, there was nothing like going to watch Griffey hit the ball out of the place and listen to the place just erupt. Junior was my childhood idol, I'm so happy for the guy with how he's hitting right now.

.327 average (8th in NL)
7 homeruns (16th in NL)
24 RBI (16th in NL)
 
When I was 8 years old my Dad took me and my brother to a Mariners game. We were right behind the dugout when Junior had a bat come flying out of his hands and skipped right into me. It got me in the chest but didn't really hurt as I absorbed most of the blow with my hands. I gave the bat back to him and he him a homerun on the very next pitch. After the game Ken signed a bat and it grazes my wall to this day. I've been his biggest fan ever since. (Of course he was my favorite player before that incident.)
 
TBH. I think I still prefer Wells' put down. Absolute class.
