Kendall Langford in contrac talks with #Dolphins to re-sign

Dude .. the Dolphin in your twitter profile pic looks so fed up

I thought it was understood Miami was going to play a hybrid and use both 3-4 and 4-3 formations? Either way, Langford is at least worth *TRYING* to re-sign. If we were able to sign him for $3mil/year or less, wouldn't you do it?

I don't expect him to sign with us as I see his market value being in the $4-5mil/year range but it can't hurt to try.

I just don't see that as reasonable . . . 3 mil a year? Tony Mcdaniel got that to be a backup. I think Langford is looking atleast 6 million a year, and that is probably being generous.

Langford is a guy I probably would take a loss on if I were the Fins, but he is a good player.

I can't believe the non-love for Langford...the kid is stout. Is he is as good as the Giants linemen? No - but do why does everyone want to dismantle the d-line so quickly around here? No love for big Paul, no love for Langford, no love for Merling, no love for Misi.

Didn't we stop the run pretty good last year?

So now let's get rid of everyone and go from top 5 against the run to 23.

I think Langford would like to stay in Miami, especially if Manning signs. I believe he would sign a 2 year deal for realistic nominal amount.
If he is smart, he should take whatever they are offering and count his blessings.

anything $5M a year or less is fair....north of that......

He'll be playing for Pitt or NE if we sign Manning

The Steelers have less than 0 dollars to pay any veteran. I think the Colts are switching to the 3-4, he could end up there.

Langford is NOT worth $5 million per season. Maybe $3 million at most. The guy does not make many plays at all. He had a lot fewer tackles in 2011 then in previous years also. He simply does not deserve a big contract

if langford signs for $3 mil a year i'll leave this board permanently...not happening...worst case he's a 2 down starting 34 de with some versatility to shift outside and rush the passer in 4 man fronts...plus he's a guy who's been healthy since he got here and suits up each week...not to mention entering his playing prime

mark it down over $5 mil per...probably more in that $7 mil range like canty got from the giants...

If Langford signs for 3 mil per then Master P must be his agent.

i think this makes sense. not sure how wel he will fit in the 4-3, but he is stout in the 3-4. and with Starks being in a contract year, i cannot see us letting Langford, SOliai and Starks all walk in consecutive years

LOL (love the Master P reference, he did a HORRIBLE job with Ricky Williams' contract talks)!

I have to agree, if we do sign Langford, it will be for more than 3 mil per. Langford is as stout as they come, I can see Langford moving inside to play DT in a 4-3 with no problem. He would kind of remind me of Daryl Gardner in that role (of course Gardner is better), also Langford would switch back to the outside to play DE in a 3-4. Because of the potential of Langford's versatility, he would prove to be more valuable than Solai.

i think signing langford is a good move. He's young, healthy and i think can move into a DT/DE position for us depending on if we r playing a 4-3 or 3-4 on any certain play. Him , starks, odrick and mcdaniels rotating in is not a bad line. Throw in a 2-3 round pick 4-3 type DE and we will be fine. I like the move and cant knock it unless they give him a 7-8$ mil a year contract. If its anything under 6 ill be thrilled.
