I think Philips will be a good player, no doubt...

but recent history shows that Safeties, good safeties fall to the 4 round or so... Tanard Jackson is the obvious example... Also, I think with Jason Allen still fresh on the minds of the Phins orgization (whether this regime drafted him or not), Philips is all but elimated from draft day...

If they were looking at safety Tyrell Johnson out of Arkansas State will be this year's Tanard Jackson. Although, he's no longer a real sleeper as I could see him getting into the late 2nd, early 3rd round... That means, he won't be a Dolphin either...

Philips is really, really talented. Problem is, his on field work ethic is highly questionable. He seems too comfortable letting others make the tackle or break on the ball even when he could use his vast skills to make the tackle a few yards further up field or deflect it on his own.

Someone will get a steal if they can find a way to turn on that switch and get a little more urgency. Problem is, that is real hard to do.

I think IF Giants do not deal Shockey to the saints for their Roman Harper and a pick. Than Phillips could very well go there. But I do think he will make it to you. Though I also think there is value in a LB before a Safety for you all.

Conner Should be there. Mayo Might get there.

Jason Allen has no barring on what This regime will do IMO. Different staff different mindset.

Phillips, 10 months ago was a top 10 prospect.

Looking at our safety positions. Hill/Bell/Allen/Crocker.

Allen showed solid potential at the 2nd half of last season. Hill is a solid safety when healthy. Bell, once again is a solid Safety when healthy. IMO, you can't count on these guys being healthy.

Phillips would definitely upgrade our secondary whether he plays CB or Safety.

If we take him at 32 I would be ecstatic. If he lasts that long, I don't see him making it that far though.

i'd love if we got him. he's from carol city, played at the U and has started all three years their. awesome talent and we need safeties badly.

If there is an OL/LB/CB or NT with equal rating, I'd rather have one of those.

The only way we can afford to take Phillips if he is there at #32 is if we take Jake first, because our need for a solid O-Line is far to great.

def wont make it there, the g-men will take him. plus if phillups is there are so is groves i take groves, especialy after taking j long number 1

I think San Diego, Jacksonville, or Green Bay could take Phillips at the end of round 1 as well.

Don't believe he wil be there and would prefer Morgan from NC State
