Last year Collins had 20 TD and only 12 INT where as frerotte had 18 TD and 13 INT. Collins had a QB Rating of 77.3 and Frerotte had 71.9. These are much better numbers than Maddox (51.7 2 TD and 4 INT) and Harrington (72.0 12 TD 12 INT) had last season.

More importantly we would not have to give up another draft pick in a trade.

I'm on the Kerry Collins bandwagon. I'd take him over Maddox and Harrington (especially if we'd have to give up something in a trade).

God I wish we were able to sign Frerotte back. Freekin crybaby! :boohoo:

collins is definatly the best player avalible for back up QB, another upside is that he is experienced and him and daunte can help groom our next franchise QB when the time comes

I think at this point in time Kerry Collins is the best option for our back up. Im all for it as long as he comes at the right price.

Charles

Harrington played on a poor team. Collins played on a team that was supposed to be better last season than they actually were. Maddox is unknown at this juncture due to lack of playing time. Basically its a case of toss a coin and pick one. I cant decide.

I thought Allen Iverson was the Answer?

I would like to have Collins as a backup for the right price. If he still believes that he is a Starter he will want stater money.

Collins scares me, has quit football before because "his heart wasn't in it". But he has the skills and wouldn't cost us the draft pick. Saban knows, he just isn't telling us, and its KILLING me!

In Saban We Trust!

Kerry Collins is my first choice, Harrington if draft pick is LOW, no Maddox.

harrington played not on a poor team he had lots of talent in williams & williams, pollard, jones

Kerry always looks like he is high.... however, if the price is right and he is willing to play backup then bring him in.

Every team has at least a few quality players. Detroits team as a whole is average at best and thats being kind. 5-11 says that. Harrington may not be the answer for us but whats he got around him and i mean defense included? Not alot i say. Frerotte had more talent around him and just about got the job done. Harrington IMO may be better than Collins and i say might. I still say i cant decide though.
