Kerry Collins: Raiders are still my team

Kerry Collins declared the Oakland Raiders his team Wednesday, refusing to relinquish his starting spot despite fan hostility.



If coach Norv Turner gets to a point before the end of the season when he opts to make a switch, Collins is determined to make it a difficult decision. Fans already are chanting "Tui! Tui!" for backup Marques Tuiasosopo.

"This is my team," Collins said Wednesday. "I expect to be in there as long as I'm healthy. And certainly I'll continue to feel that way and give the effort, prepare and play hard on Sundays. This is part of what being a quarterback is about. There are going to be times when things aren't going well and people are going to try to get other people in there. But my program's the same. I handle every situation as professionally as I can."

Their season is over. If they switch QBs it'll be to Andrew Walter, not Tuiasosopo.

One of my friends is a huge Raiders fan, and according to him everyone wants Tui, but they can't play him yet because if he gets more than 30% of the snaps or something he becomes a free agent, or something similar to that.

Andrew walter was that third round pick out of arizona state and he had a gun for an arm! They drafted him knowing not to pin their hopes on a 32 year old QB.

I think they play either Walter or Tuiasosopo if Raiders lose 1 more game.

his salary next year jumps to 6 mil. He WILL be released
