"Vickerson and Wright are two different people, OK?" Carter said Thursday. "You can't lump them in the same category. It's a disservice to Kevin Vickerson."

"Obviously, Kevin's someone we want to step in and help us immediately," Carter said. "I think Manny's a bit of a project for the future.

"Kevin is bigger than me, stronger than me  the guy's a monster and he just doesn't know it. He lacks the proper technique and some of the things  toughness here and there and discipline  it takes to be really good in this league, but he's got all the tools that he needs."
