Koyle admitted to doing a very well known football mistake when he said he was trying to PREVENT a deep TD pass. We all know what good a PREVENT defense is for a team. Koyle is to DC as Sherman is to OC.

SO if I am understanding this right, our offense led for damn near the entire game, and it's the offenses fault we lost?

I'm surprised that the defense plays as well as it does. Imagine going out there playing hard, only to watch the offense disappear after half-time every game! And, since the offense isn't doing anything, you have to spend way more time than usual on the field. You're giving it your all trying to slow down the opponent as they chip away at a lead, but instead of building on that lead the offense just gives the ball right back to the opponent.
Forget Martin vs Incognito... the fighting in the locker room should be between the defense and the offense! I'm sure that these players laugh at the idea that it's a "team" loss and everyone is to blame. After all of the poor play by the offense in the second half of nearly every game, the fact that the defensive players aren't kicking butt leads me to believe that they feel it's the coaching staff's fault. Offensive players earlier in the season even hinted at the poor playcalling by Sherman.

The offense failed to score in the second half... the loss is on them. You can't expect a defense to stop every opponent for the entire 60 minutes, especially when the offense stops doing its job. The job of the offense is to try and score every single possession. That's nearly impossible, but if you can't score at all in the second half then someone is not doing their job. The fact that the defense held on as long as they did is surprising. The defense failed on Carolina's winning TD drive, but the offense failed in the entire second half. How can you blame the defense for this loss?

Kevin Coyle's defenses have found a way to blow pretty much every lead we've established no matter what caliber the team is. I don't excuse the offense, but it's baffling to me that the mediocrity of the offense has caused some to lose sight that every single one of us know the Dolphins will blow double digit halftime leads, but some still can't acknowledge that it's because the defense sucks as bad or worse than the offense.

Yeah some of the d calls are frustrating and the lack of use of Jordan baffles me but Jordan's not showing any growth as an edge pass rusher is really starting to bother me and concern me about the upside there...
I know he had a sack on backside pursuit but he's not winning early against nfl tackles and showing zero counter or redirect inside moves...
and hes way too physically gifted to not be...

I'm starting to be critical of Cam Wake in this department. How long has he been a starter now? It's fair to stay he DOESN'T have a counter move at this point.
I watch Von Miller play against NEs Volmer whom Wake historically has had problems against. Miller used incredible hand technique routinely to get pass Volmer on several occasion. Further he beat him with a wicked spin-move inside(the counter) to generate pressure on the Qb!
Cam Wake is too small to beat NFL tackles to the inside with power. Which IMO is why he tries to rely on the quick burst outside. However there is NO EXCUSE for Wake to not have na inside spin move or some other counter to the outside speed rush
Which brings me to my point and your observation with D.Jordan
Supposedly, we have a good D-Line coach. I'm personally starting to question that. If a long time starter like C.Wake hasn't developed or been taught an effective inside counter. What hope is there that the Rookie in D.Jordan will?

Good observations...millers hand use Sunday night was outstanding...wake is more your run the arc or bull rush pass rusher no real arm over inside move or quick initial outside step redirect back inside guy and I don't see a lot of chopping of the hands when you gain the shoulder going on with our edge players...
Wake has a spin move but it doesn't appear something he believes in in game situations...
Jordan though it's all outside gain the corner dip the shoulder or bull rush...no polish no reaction to what a tackle is giving him or how he is playing it...he has huge hands he needs to use em more...
And I can't stress enough how much getting off the ball faster would help him...he is slow off the ball pretty much every time
