Dre Goodman - started off well, and just faded off on the final Pittsburgh drive. He gave up that huge pass interference play defending Cedric Wilson, then, he lets Hines Ward run right passed him for the TD. I don't know if there was a mix up in the secondary or not, but I highly doubt it because Renaldo Hill was in the box and Tillman was covering Heath Miller from what I saw. He basically gave up 7 points by himself, with help from Willie Parker running over Zach Thomas.

Chris Chambers - Hmmm, for some reason, I thought maybe he pulled a muscle in warm up's and sat out the game? He hasn't done a damn thing, and it's not like he's seeing the double teams tonight. He's been one on one with Ike Taylor the entire first half, and he has done an awful job. I'm probably the biggest Chambers backer here, but he has to step it up. Ike Taylor is a solid DB, but he's not even close to the Hall/Bailey/etc. class, and Chambers is supposed to be a Pro Bowler. There was one play where he beat Taylor deep and Culpepper underthrew him, but there was also that DROPPED TD pass. It should've been thrown a bit more to the left, but he still dropped it. Chambers must step it up in the second half if this offense will have an opportunity to make some plays and grab this victory.

Wes Welker - My apologizes, we'd be getting our *** kicked right now if it wasn't for his huge punt return. He's been a force on the offensive side as well, and the only receiving option aside from Ronnie Brown to actually make things easier on Culpepper. 4 catches for 67 yards? I thought his numbers would look similar to that after the first two games, not the first half of game #1. If I had to pick one reason why we're even in this game, it'd just be two words.......and those two words are incredibly self-explanatory, so I don't even need to say.
