MIA:7 for 18 - NO: 0 for 11

When looking at the game stats, I always look at the 3rd down conversions.
I was doubly interested after this game because I thought we were abysmal the last 2 weeks in stopping opponents on 3rd down and converting on 3rd down.

Our ability to run the ball and our O-line playing relatively well did the trick. On defense, it's Aaron Brooks painful inability to perform under pressure that was IMO a determining factor. He was constantly hurried and when Brooks doesn't set his feet...that wacky motion just gets wackier. 0 for 11 that really hurts.

Nice to see we did well this week. We have a heck of a challenge next week against the Birds. Hopefully we'll rise up.

Wow, I didnt realize our D didnt give up any third down conversions. That a heck of a stat. Whole differant game next week though.

The offensive side was not that good, but I don't think I've ever seen our defense allow zero third-down conversions. We won't see that happen again this year.

I think the key stat for the game was carries. 47 for us, 17 for them. That allowed us to dictate the tempo and wear them down late. As much as I love the deep ball, I'd much rather see us pound Ronnie and Ricky 40 times a game until we can get a better QB in here next season.

It's a stat that points out just how good our secondary played today. I was shocked at how well they seemed to be always near the WR. I've given them abunch of crap lately, but they really played great today. And Howard got himself a INT...
