Keys to beating the Saints

1.Pound the rock -we’ve made improvements in our run game. Let’s keep at it.
2. Want to see Tua game manage with occasional deep shots (especially early).
3. Maintain discipline on defense. Particularly in the secondary.
4. Blitz early.
5. No stupid penalties.
I feel minimizing our own penalties may be an area we can still improve on.

It’s a mystery to me also, but likely has to do with internal discipline. Miami, always seems to celebrate and boast too early after a TD, a victory, or starting the season hot. But it’s typically false bravado. It’s what we do under duress that shows what we truly are.

Bingo!!!

Im impressed with our team in the last couple games - tells me the team still believes in McD - which I dont understand - but im cheering them up - loved killing the Jills - we barely beat a poor Redskins team with their backup qb and second and third stringers on D - well see if this continues...

Some good points for sure. I’d add:

-don’t beat yourself. Play with discipline and get the plays in on time.

-stop the run.

-don’t turn the ball over.

make them the inferior team from the get go, be physical, and no dumb penalties.

Two factors
1 don't come out, and play, flat
2 no mistakes
Result = W

I dont blame ppl for wanting to win. I really don't. However, this organization needs a reset with new leadership and a new direction. And until we get that, it's just more of the same.

So with that being said...

We can't play down to their level. We seem to always do that. Mcdummy has to manage the clock better, not make stupid decisions before the half or at the end of the game. Tua needs to be secure with the rock. No 3 interceptions and/lost fumbles. Need to be a little creative on defense now that our last CB is out. And hope that the aints are gonna aint.

The Saints will move up to the 2nd pick if they lose, with the Giants on a bye and already 2-10. The Saints SOS is well behind the Giants at this point, so I'd say the franchise itself would be better off with a loss.

Obviously Kellen Moore, Tyler Shough and the rest of the roster need a W to justify their retention after the season and not be a lot of one and dones.

There is no reason we should lose this game, or even win a nail biter. If this game isn't already decided by half time, I am going to be a little upset (not that I have postseason aspirations).

Spencer Rattler would concern me a lot more, if he were playing. He hasn't been that bad this year, I saw a stat a few weeks back that had him in the top 20 of QB efficiency.

I Am tired of tua. Ready to move on from him. McDaniel I just don’t know. Glad Grier is gone Thing is. We prob will have tua back because of contract I want to win but Man I want a new qb. Kinda sucks this situation

Exactly. It just means 2026 is going to be a wasted year. And we will be a mediocre team at best. I know we are going to retain Tua and mcdummy so it is what it is at this point. I've taken all emotion out of it this year.
