The subplot is looming larger than what can happen in the trenches. IMHO, looking at the keys to victory, Fins must be able to do the following:

1- Fins must controll the LOS and run, run, run. Wear down Jets D in our
heat and humidity, and take control and put the game away in the 4th
quarter running down the clock.
2- TO's. We need 2+ turnovers in Jets territory and dominate field the
field position battle. Fins must produce points early off these TO's.
3- Run D. Make Jets one dimensional and get Favre scrambling for his
life with frequent 3 and outs.

This may be an over simplification but I am convinced, given Favre's willingness to throw pics, and Ricky Williams historical success againts Jets, Fins will upset Jets.

Pennington only has to manage the game and be effective in the playaction game, which is his strength.

Fins 20
Jets 17

I agree with your anaysis but I think the score will be a little higher and the special teams will have a greater impact. Both teams may score TD's off returns.
FINS - 27
GLIDERS - 21

I've read this dozens of time. Is the weather your best player?

Controlling Leon Washington on ST's and 3rd down screens will be very important. Ronnie, Ricky, Ronnie, Ricky, Ronnie, Ricky then deep to Ginn.

No it's not. Is the all time leader with interceptions and the same guy with " a fatigued arm" your best player?

Keep in mind, turnovers will come very, very easy. They always do with Brett Favre at the helm.

Miami wins 27-17.

If they lose I'm going to believe the NFL is a hoax and find a Jet's fan around my area and beat the living piss out of him.

No they don't....... I can't believe you are trying to take away from Favre, hes a all time great QB, HOF player. His arm is fine, showing his great strength and accuracy still. Turnovers don't come easy against Favre, they come easy against Pennington lately, since he throws these lobs all the time, Favre has a gun, he only starts turning the ball over if hes behind and he tries to make a play happen.
I'll take a all time INT leader, who also is the all time TD leader.
448 TD passes to 288 INTS? I'll take that! Over a guy with 88 TD passes to 55 INTs.... But in the last 2 seasons has 27 TD passes to 25 INTs........... I'll take 46 TD passes to 33 INTs in the last 2 years over that....

They will not walk all over us...that is for sure. Favre us a interception machine. We will break him!

I say the Dolphins need to use the same Gameplan Dallas used last year against Farve. I remember that game and Farve looked like the Farve of old. They were pressure the hell out of him. another thing I would like to see is, The D-line needs to hit Farve even if it is not a sack pressure him and make him scramble.

Offcourse Run, Run, Run. The analysis I agree with. I hope Favre sucks come Sunday.

It is so funny how Jet fans are closet dol-fans. They have memberships and everything for Finheaven.

The Miami defense needs to get to Favre ala New York Giants-eque cuz if they don't, he will pick apart the Miami secondary with Coles and Cotchery. Favre is still a very dangerous QB to allow getting in a rhythm.

Am I the only one who thinks we will win comfortably? O_o

My keys to the game:

*Fins need to pressure Farve.
*Pennington needs to convert 3rd down play's.
*Not turn the ball over.

Do these things and we coast to a win.

27-13

Great points Phinefreak. One more point should be to be very good on special teams, specifically leon washington. We cant let him beat us.

am i the only one who thinks its not gonna be very easy for this young team that barely played together to fulfill those three keys?
