KFFL/AP: Brees leave New Orleans with no contract offered

The Associated Press reports free agent QB Drew Brees (Chargers) left New Orleans Sunday, March 12, without a contract offer from the New Orleans Saints. Brees said New Orleans' rebuilding from Hurricane Katrina would not dissuade him from coming here. He said he helped build programs in Purdue and at San Diego that had been down and that the challenge of rebuilding in New Orleans appealed to him. He is now on his way to Miami.

That was posted a few minutes ago, I don't know if you guys saw it yet.

Yep i saw this about 5 minutes ago myself. Great news...i just wish that all these bogus reports would stop. i think the finheaven elite should really do something about this after this brees situation is complete. i always check kffl first before i read some of these bogus reports.

I don't think it "sucks for us" at all. Really, what is he going to say? "Yeah the place is still in real bad shape, and I don't know if I want to be here in an unstable situation with a team probably headed nowhere for a long time?"
